It is always a pleasure to get a well asked question on one of my #Moodle plugins. This question was about my #AIText question type which uses an external #AI #LLM to generate feedback on students free text responses. On a side note I have found #Google #Gemini works at least as well or better than #OpenAI #ChatGPT models.
It was an issue I had not documented until now and as many people use it for language learning, it matters.

Why do people post screenshots (as images) on Fediverse instead of copying the text and sharing it? 
If you are a decent fediversian, you always add Alt text to shared image, but why even attach such image? Unless you want to prove someone posted this, but then again - is image (that can be easily drawn) an enough proof?
Stop sharing text as image - use text 
Markdown-enabled instances can utilize > and enable text formatting as a quote, making it even more appealing.

I'm glad to announce the release of version 2.81 of #snac, the simple, minimalistic #ActivityPub instance server written in C. It includes the following changes:
If the
propagate_local_purge configuration variable is set to true in server.json, purged local posts generate a Delete activity that is sent everywhere, instead of only deleted from the filesystem.Included a small tweak to avoid being confused by implementations that return valid webfinger queries for non-account URLs (like i.e. the Wordpress ActivityPub plugin in some configurations). This helps in searching by URL.

Aligning with Putin at the U.N.
Feb 26: The U.S. voted against (or abstained on) a U.N. resolution condemning Russia’s invasion and demanding Russian troop withdrawal—handing Putin a diplomatic win and fracturing the Western consensus.
Each of these high-drama announcements generated headlines—and applause from Moscow’s mouthpieces—but none translated into biting pressure on Putin or meaningful relief for Ukraine.
