It's about that and what is easy to replicate, not what *will make you successful*. The formula for success is constantly changing.
It's also why most videos are about #Unity even though most everyone hates Unity for a lot of good reasons - the other engines and tools on the market are far less accessible for beginners.

The USB port enumerates a CDC-ACM serial interface (console) and a CDC-Ethernet port, however by default, there's no route to the Internet. To connect it to the Internet, you must set your machine up as a router, and make it use your host as a default route.
Alternatively, you direct things to use a HTTP proxy. Like this:

"In dozens of interviews with current and former government officials and advisers, technologists and MPs – most of whom asked not to be named, in order to speak freely – I have been told about a quiet handing over of control in the frameworks of advice, intelligence and decision-making that underlie every government decision. This is not just a simple software upgrade. Large language models (LLMs), the software behind AI program such as ChatGPT, are built to produce answers that will be accepted by users – not to calculate, but to convince. This highly persuasive software, built primarily overseas, is being handed an unknown amount of political power.
In almost every interview conducted for this piece, I asked whether it was paranoid to suggest that the wholesale adoption of AI by our government, public services and wider economy is handing power to models built in the US and China. Even the most optimistic AI advocates agreed it was a reasonable argument. At a technology conference last year, I spoke to a person who had been involved at the highest level in the government’s use of AI. I asked if it worried them that foundational models could reflect the politics of the people who control them – people who have very different political ideas to our elected leaders. My concerns were not brushed off. This person told me about a power struggle between the engineers building AI models, the plutocrats who own them and the politicians who seek to control them. Far from the noise of the public debate, a battle is being fought that could have lasting implications for our politics. “Make no mistake,” this person told me. “This is a war.”"

Picking a #Mastodon server by interest is a lot better than a general purpose one with a higher population.
At times I'm annoyed by the lack of local engagement--tech people are notoriously introverted and deeply interest-based to the exclusion of social interactions outside those interests (I'm guilty; hello fellow NDs). But the local tab on popular servers is a barrage of BS, even with filters applied.
As with RL, some small towns are better than big cities.

In the case of the revamped East Wing and ballroom, only one corporation reported its donation to the fund on lobbying disclosure files. Yet twenty-six other firms have been identified as donors by media reports or the White House itself. That includes Micron, which last year shut down its consumer-facing computer chip business after accepting more than $6.1 billion in data center semiconductor contracts from the Trump administration; Union Pacific Railroad, which is seeking merger approval for its plan to create the company’s first single-line transcontinental megarailroad; and Palantir, the Silicon Valley surveillance giant that recently scored a historic ten-year, $10 billion Pentagon contract (as well as one for bossware at the Agriculture Department.)
