So I've been trying out the #ghost 6.0 and so far it's not a game changer for me. Not to say it doesn't have value, but the specific features I'm looking for are not there yet. Really, #ActivityPub integration on both #Wordpress and Ghost is more of a one-way door than integration. Until the readers support full functionality we're stuck in a two-account world.

Victorhck publica siempre cosas súper interesantes en su blog. El otro día, sin ir más lejos, una alternativa a 12ft (que dio lugar a un post en Blogpocket: Cómo clonar un repositorio de GitHub para instalar y ejecutar una aplicación Python). Y anteayer una idea fantástica para escribir texto plano sin distracciones simplemente abriendo una pestaña en tu navegador.
Trasteando con el software original de Paulo Nunes, se me ocurrió añadirle una función para «enviar a WordPress». Implica estar logueado en tu WordPress pero independiza de la plataforma la toma de notas y escritura de borradores. Algo que se puede hacer desde WordPress pero que requiere más trabajo y más distracciones.
En cualquier caso, es solo una idea que puse en marcha en dos minutos, ayudado por ChatGPT. Lo probé exhaustivamente pero si lo quieres probar, hazlo primero en un entorno de desarrollo o pruebas.

#EA has confirmed that #Battlefield 6 will be completely unplayable on #Linux systems, including #SteamDeck, due to its new kernel-level anti-cheat system, “EA Javelin,” which explicitly blocks Linux. This move is a slap in the face to the growing #Linuxgaming community, especially considering how far compatibility has come with #Proton and #SteamOS.
Worse yet, EA is using open-source tech like the #GodotEngine in parts of the game, while denying access to the very platforms that champion #opensource. It’s hypocritical and #anticonsumer.
There’s no option to disable #anticheat for #singleplayer or #privateservers, meaning users who value #privacy or #freedom of platform are locked out entirely.
It's a hostile decision rooted in control, not security.

Je me suis fait un SpeechToText Python
Mot clé de déclenchement (comme "OK Google") : "Marvin"
J'écoutais Valérie M-D qui dit : "... dans les aires marines".
Mon script comprend "Marvin".
Il dit alors : "yep what's up" (retour pour signaler l'écoute et le début d'enregistrement)
Mais comme j'enregistre pas (silence relatif au micro), il répète ce que je lui ai fait préalablement interpréter (et qui était juste) :
donc il dit, sur un ton monocorde avec espeak-ng -v mb-fr1 :
"Quelle est la différence entre un canard ? La longueur des pattes, surtout la gauche"

It only seem to include questions for marketing websites - but pretty much nothing that would be of relevance to websites that are concerned with trustworthy content, news, educational or scientific purposes, NGOs, local councils etc.
And I filled it all out - and then the last page required some JavaScript or so that I hadn't enabled .... and so I lost all of my answers.

Jemand versucht gerade exzessiv, eine von mir frisch aufgesetzte WordPress-Webseite per Brute Force zu hacken.
Die Seite ist seit einigen Tagen mit einem Wartungsbild online.
Das besondere dabei ist: der oder die Angreifer verwenden bei jedem neuen Zugriff eine andere IP-Adressen.
Warum ich denke, dass es sich um einen gezielten Angriff eines Täters oder einer Gruppe von Tätern handelt? Weil es besondere andere Anzeichen genau dafür gibt.

Proton is taking legal action toward Apple as regards, amongst other things, their 30% commission upon any in app purchases that disproportionately affect Proton's bottom line. Proton are privacy centred and do not 'harvest your data' as do other platforms and apps that claim for their services to be free whilst selling your data to anyone that will pay for it.
I'd not thought of it that way before but they have a point in that anyone involved in things #fediverse or #digitalsovereignity related likely need to monetise their services in more 'traditional' ways so to speak, rather than ripping off everyone's privacy.

alis.me, in several incarnations, has run on WordPress ever since I ditched my homebrew system circa 2009. In the last few years, WordPress has gotten increasingly bloated and unusable, thanks to the creep of JavaScript-based paradigms into things like Gutenberg and the updated theme system. So every now and again I look around, trying to find something to replace it with, and come up with . . . nothing. Just . . . nothing, pretty much for the reasons Anarchae articulates.
I’m fortunate in that my long history with PHP in general and WordPress specifically means I run a whole bunch of blog-specific customizations for it. So instead of having to download an entire bloated plugin to implement, say, an askbox or OpenGraph meta tags or whatever, with all the associated config screens and “Pay to unlock Pro!!!” bullshit, I can just knock together a few lines of script myself. Similarly, my theme uses the old template system, with only the lightest sprinkling of JavaScript and minimal third-party resource loads. But gosh if it isn’t hard work to keep it like that . . .
