Mir fällt derDorfcharakter dadurch auf, dass sich Autos und Passant*innen oft die gleiche Strasse teilen.🫣 An vielen Hausfassaden finden sich kirchliche Sprüche.
Die Kirche erhebt sich mächtig über die übrigen Dächer und ist schon aussen reich bemalt.
Innen offenbart sich eine aktive Gemeinde — hier hat die #Kirche noch einen fest verankerten Stellenwert, in der Gesellschaft.
Der Tabernakel selbst gleicht einer goldenen Minikirche!✨ Und hier befindet sich eine der schönsten Marienfiguren, die ich JE gesehen habe, richtig mütterlich zugeneigt.🥰
Präsent ist auch die rätoromanische Sprache — die 4. Landessprache der #Schweiz .

I’ve been playing around with Python a bit this morning. My knowledge of Python is minimal.
At work, I primarily code in Ruby on Rails. Everybody likes to shit on Ruby on Rails for being “old tech”.
But let me tell you: Bundler absolutely beats the SHIT out of pip for dependency resolution and ease of use, hands down. There is no contest.
I am amazed that modern coding is primarily based on JavaScript and Python, two languages with toolchains that are LEGENDARY TRASHFIRES. I swear, using various 8-bit embedded C toolchains fifteen years ago was less esoteric and frustrating than dealing with this bullshit.

The Accountable analysis is the latest attempt to pierce the corporate veil of the Trump family’s opaque network of companies. Well before digital tokens became moneymakers, Trump’s worth was notoriously hard to pin down, at one point spawning a failed libel lawsuit from the real estate mogul. The speculative nature of crypto has made it even harder.
Last month, Bloomberg estimated that roughly $620 million, of what an estimated total net worth of $6.4 billion, could be chalked up to crypto.
Accountable argued in its latest analysis that Bloomberg undercounted both Trump’s crypto and total wealth, thanks largely to the wildly speculative nature of crypto."

"All this makes it disconcerting that levels of conscientiousness in the population appear to be in decline. Extending a pioneering 2022 US study which identified early signs of a drop during the pandemic, I found a sustained erosion of conscientiousness, with the fall especially pronounced among young adults.
Digging deeper into the data, which comes from the Understanding America Study, we can see that people in their twenties and thirties in particular report feeling increasingly easily distracted and careless, less tenacious and less likely to make and deliver on commitments.
While a full explanation of these shifts requires thorough investigation, and there will be many factors at work, smartphones and streaming services seem likely culprits. The advent of ubiquitous and hyper-engaging digital media has led to an explosion in distraction, as well as making it easier than ever to either not make plans in the first place or to abandon them.
The sheer convenience of the online world makes real-life commitments feel messy and effortful. And the rise of time spent online and the attendant decline in face-to-face interactions enable behaviours such as “ghosting”."
