@techlore I'd favour @CoMaps over organic maps. Governace structure, licensing and behaviour does matter.
In fact, I am quite annoyed of projects using the term of open source or F(L)OSS while not using OSI approved licenses. Even if one does not like OSI, there are valid reasons to *not* allow e.g. SSPL as an open source license.
Still, one can find these *hidden gems* in some projects, such as @serverpoddev that keeps unmentioned, that part of its core is SSPL licensed¹ while claiming to be open source. Given the experience and expertise of their founders and collaborators of Serverpod , while also having a genuine good and interesting selection of actual fully open source packages and projects, e.g. their Dart Web server Relic, that they promote, I find it hard to believe, the phrasing and presentation of their project was incidental.
When they are actually doing such genuine good open-source work², why taint it by being not honest?
The same tendency can be observed with @appwrite in their most recent collaboration with MongoDB. Appwrite is, as of writing, actually fully open source licensed and uses only open-source components in their self-hostable version, but claims in their most recent blog post that they have decided to collaborate with MongoDB to "give developers a fully open-source, database-flexible backend platform they can own, grow with, and trust at every stage"³.
I think this is a bit misleadingly written I that they mean their own code which, in fact, is fully open source, while conveniently brushing over the fact, that MongoDB, even if self-hosted, is licensed under SSPL.
I am personally also a bit confused, since the SSP-License is, as is its basis in the AGP-License, very strong copy-left, which would (theoretically?) require one to distribute one's own code also under SSPL.

Question for blind Twitch streamers. How do you set up your OBS to have a good sound quality? I have my Shure SM58LCE microphone but it's sound is pretty quiet without any configuration as expected. I think how I could add effects to OBS as VST plug-ins but I am not sure configuring these plug-ins like iZotope RX de-esser is accessible in OBS itself. I have an idea to add plug-ins from Reaper but I am not sure about others. My Yamaha AG03 mixer has it's own effects and they are configured, but I think I could achieve more with VST plug-ins that I can control. For hver time som går uten en løsning på #Hormuzstredet styrker #Iran sin posisjon. Det er ingen militær løsning, hvis ikke hadde det nok allerede vært løst.
Ved å starte en krig uten strategi og formål blir det veldig vanskelig å forhandle om noe som kan se ut som en seier for #USA.

Setting yup a #Yubikey Bio. I've got my ed25519-sk ssh key generated. I'm selectively using ssh agent forwarding to a couple dev VMs.
I can't seem to get #git commit signing working with the ed25519-sk key in one of the dev VMs. I haven't tried the other VM, but given it's the same OS, I'd think it would behave the same. I've made sure the ssh key was indeed forwarded.
Is anyone doing git commit signing with an ed25519-sk ssh key that was forwarded over ssh (ssh -A remote.host)?

Frage wäre für mich, wie man eine Möglichkeit schafft, dass Menschen ein Posting kommentieren können, die kein Fediverse Profil haben.

Only found them by coincidence ;)
1️⃣ In "/settings/preferences/appearance" under "Advanced settings" you can find the option to "Warn me before posting media without #alt text"
You can see the error message I see whenever I forget #alttext in the second image hehe
2️⃣ When you post an image with text in it, you can simply use the magic #AI feature "Add text from image". It usually works very well!
