Früher fand man nicht nur in, sondern auch auf den Beuten wahre Kunstwerke. Besonders im 18. und 19. gab es die Tradition, die Stirnbretter der Stöcke künstlerisch zu verzieren. Das sollte zum einen gut aussehen, zum anderen den Bienen auch das Heimfinden erleichtern. Zu größter Kunstfertigkeit brachten es dabei unter anderem die Imker der Krain und Sloweniens. Leider kam diese Tradition während des 1. Weltkriegs zum Erliegen.
Da ist es ein großes Glück, dass viele der kleinen Kunstwerke in Museen bewahrt wurden und daher heute noch zu bewundern sind!

I had a #bot earlier, but it caused questions about #privacy. Current version is designed to be used without separate user account for it. Nor it needs ANY #encryption keys.
