I'm trying to move toward SHA256 for my git repos.
As long as I'm purely within SHA256, things look fine (SHA256 client fetching from or pushing to SHA256 remotes).
However, when I try to add SHA-1 back into the equation, things break: "fatal: mismatched algorithms: client sha256; server sha1"
Setting extensions.compatObjectFormat make my client unusable: "fatal: unknown repository extension found"
Is SHA-1 interop supported yet? In the future?
I use git 2.43.0

Het nieuws rond de Signal app lijkt wat minder te worden, toch zag ik afgelopen 2 weken opnieuw "oude" whatsapp contacten met een nieuw account bij Signal. Zelfs van mensen die eigenlijk niet weg willen bij whatsapp.
Familie, vrienden en bekenden zijn voor het grootste deel overgestapt op Signal.
Probleem ligt vooral bij de groepen.
Ik neem deel aan een paar whatsapp groepen die nog niet klaar zijn om over te stappen naar Signal, helaas.

Red Hat, el proveedor de soluciones de código abierto empresariales, comunicó el resultado de un estudio con proyecciones sobre virtualización de las infraestructuras IT. Esta tecnología ha demostrado ser un pilar esencial para las empresas que buscan mejorar la eficiencia y reducir costos y, aunque la adopción de contenedores ha ganado importancia en los últimos años, las máquinas virtuales (VM) siguen como una de las columnas vertebrales de la informática moderna para aplicaciones críticas. Según proyecciones este mercado crecerá de US$ 38,7 mil millones en 2020 a US$ 189,4 mil millones en 2027 (Fuente Red Hat Latam).
El notable crecimiento se debe a varios factores. Los avances tecnológicos, como la integración de inteligencia artificial (IA) y aprendizaje automático (ML) para la gestión automatizada de recursos y mantenimiento predictivo, junto con la adopción masiva de la computación en la nube, han impulsado la creciente demanda de virtualización. La necesidad de medidas sólidas de ciberseguridad, soluciones de protección de datos y sistemas de IT resilientes, capaces de soportar fuerzas de trabajo distribuidas, también han reforzado su importancia.
Curva de “revirtualización”
El open source aparece como una alternativa en un momento en el que las empresas parecen encaminarse hacia lo que Gartner ha llamado “revirtualización”. Según la consultora, entre el 5% y el 20% de las organizaciones ya han avanzado en este camino, que consiste en intercambiar las actuales soluciones de virtualización por un nuevo hipervisor, generalmente desarrollado en código abierto.
“Con acceso a la innovación de una comunidad estable, estándares abiertos para una mayor compatibilidad e interfaces de programación de aplicaciones (API) abiertas para una integración flexible, las tecnologías de código abierto pueden ayudar a las empresas a construir entornos virtuales eficientes en centros de datos e infraestructuras de nube”, afirma Jorge Payró, country manager de Red Hat para Argentina.
En pocas palabras, la virtualización es el proceso que permite la creación de versiones virtuales de servidores, almacenamiento o recursos de red. Estas máquinas virtuales se pueden copiar, replicar y restaurar fácilmente, lo que permite que las actividades continúen incluso ante un fallo del hardware. Otras ventajas son la reducción del número de servidores físicos, menor consumo de energía, mejor rendimiento y la posibilidad de garantizar la continuidad del negocio a través de soluciones de recuperación ante desastres.
La virtualización también simplifica y optimiza la gestión de recursos de IT al centralizar el control y proporcionar herramientas integrales de monitoreo y automatización. Este nivel de control ayuda a responder rápidamente a necesidades comerciales fluctuantes, a desarrollar e implementar aplicaciones más rápidamente y a mejorar el rendimiento y la confiabilidad general de toda la infraestructura de tecnología de la información. “Modelos de desarrollo de código abierto enriquecen este ecosistema al fomentar la colaboración y la innovación constantes, impulsadas por las comunidades upstream, que permiten la rápida introducción de nuevas y avanzadas tecnologías de virtualización al mercado», afirmó Alexandre Duarte, Vicepresidente de servicios para Latinoamérica en Red Hat.
