I'm having to work with Material UI and I really despise how inconsistent it is with its provided capacity to override simple things like classnames of slots.
One component allows me to add a classname to some of its slots here and there, the other one doesn't at all. One wants me to use `slotProps`, the other one wants me to use `inputProps`.
It shouldn't be that hard to add a class to a label.

It isn't a split. Definitely not. And I know from personal experience as a (streams) user.
Upon first glance, FEP-ef61 looks like there's one ActivityPub Fediverse now that consists of (streams) and Forte, for these two have FEP-ef61 implemented, and one fully separate ActivityPub Fediverse that consists of everything else, and they're completely incompatible with one another. (Not to mention the networks based on other protocols like Nomad or the diaspora* protocol.)
Now let's look at reality. Remember (streams) is Forte before the Nomad protocol was ripped out. It's identical otherwise. The ActivityPub part works just the same, only that you can turn it off on (streams).
I've got two (streams) channels myself, @Jupiter Rowland's (streams) outlet and @Jupiter's Fedi-Memes on (streams), both of which are even cloned. Now, look at the connections (you should be permitted to do that). I'm not only connected to Hubzilla, (streams) and Forte channels. I'm just as well connected to Mastodon accounts. Mutually because everything that Mike has created has Facebook "friends" rather than Twitter followers and followed. Black magic? Or does FEP-ef61, in fact, not break compatibility to a degree that makes connections impossible?
Oh, and by the way, the accounts with these channels on them were created in summer 2024, i.e. after FEP-ef61 was pushed from dev to release and rolled out to the servers. Everything on my channels that has an ID has a portable FEP-ef61 DID. Still, I can connect to Mastodon accounts, and Mastodono users can follow me.

Exactly. But this is nothing that came up with FEP-ef61 when it was first rolled out to actual stable production servers in July, 2024. This has been the case since the first Red server connected to the rest of the Fediverse as early as 2012 (Red, spanish la red = the network, was renamed into the Red Matrix the same year and completely retooled, massively expanded and renamed into Hubzilla in 2015.) In other words, Hubzilla has it, (streams) has it, Forte has it, and everything in-between had it, too.

Oggi i rapporti tra Stati Uniti e Svizzera sono tra i più tesi di sempre. Ma non è una novità assoluta: i due Paesi condividono valori comuni, certo, ma questo non li ha mai messi al riparo da crisi ricorrenti, anzi. Le tensioni maggiori arrivano sui temi della neutralità, di economia internazionale o sui temi finanziari.
Uno dei primi scontri importanti risale alla Seconda guerra mondiale. La Svizzera applicò una politica di tolleranza zero contro chiunque violasse il suo spazio aereo: che fossero gli Alleati (Gran Bretagna, Stati Uniti, Unione Sovietica) o le potenze dell’Asse (Germania, Italia, Giappone). Questo portò ad abbattere diversi aerei statunitensi e alla morte di circa una quarantina di aviatori alleati. Ma anche gli Stati Uniti colpirono: nell’aprile del 1944 durante il bombardamento di Sciaffusa uccisero tra i 40 e 60 civili svizzeri.
Dopo qualche decennio di calma apparente, le tensioni tornano negli anni 90 quando si scoprì che alcune banche svizzere custodivano molti depositi appartenenti a vittime dell’Olocausto. La pressione diplomatica di Washington e della comunità ebraica fu tale da costringere la Svizzera ad allentare il segreto bancario e creare ingenti fondi di compensazione.
Quel segreto bancario, sopravvissuto a lungo, ricevette il colpo definitivo nel 2009, quando in piena crisi finanziaria, gli Stati Uniti citarono in giudizio UBS ottenendo i dati di quasi 52’000 americani con conti in Svizzera.
Sul fronte commerciale il gelo risale al 2006 quando i negoziati per un accordo di libero scambio naufragarono per divergenze in materia agricola e sugli organismi geneticamente modificati.
E arriviamo al presente: il 7 agosto 2025 l’amministrazione Trump annuncia dazi fino al 39% su molte esportazioni svizzere, in particolare nei settori come orologeria, cioccolato, macchinari di precisione. La tariffa è la più alta mai applicata a un paese sviluppato. L’atto viene percepito come punitivo e il danno potenziale alle esportazioni è significativo. Tanto è stato scritto sull’incapacità diplomatica e politica svizzera e su questa non torneremo.
Come se non bastasse, è di pochi giorni fa un’altra grana: gli Stati Uniti negano di aver mai accettato un prezzo fisso per l’acquisto degli F-35 che Berna riteneva di aver già concordato. Il risultato è che se la Svizzera vorrà gli aerei dovrà accettare un aumento compreso tra i 650 milioni e 1,3 miliardi di franchi rispetto ai 6 miliardi stimati inizialmente.
Questa non è e non sarà la prima né l’ultima volta che Berna e Washington si trovano ai ferri corti. Le tensioni, come in passato, verranno superate. Ma non illudiamoci: la piccola Svizzera non ne uscirà vincitrice. Inutile pensare di essere potenti: in uno scontro così asimmetrico, il campo da gioco, le regole e perfino il pallone appartengono all’avversario.

Ein gewisser Donald Duck Drumpf hat einseitig und willkürlich Zölle auf Produkte aus Europa beschlossen. Ursprünglich sollten die noch höher ausfallen als jetzt; in den "Verhandlungen" zur Senkung der Zölle auf die jetzigen Werte haben die Europäer bereits versprochen, in größerem Umfang Produkte aus den USA zu kaufen - beispielsweise dreckiges Fracking-Gas (nicht nur Klima-, sondern bei der Gewinnung auch Umwelt-schädlich). Jetzt stellt der Horrorclown weitere Forderungen. Damit der "Deal" zustande kommt, will er auch noch den DSA beseitigen*. Der würde "die freie Rede beeinträchtigen".
