I'm running a very slow task which has the goal of freeing up space on my external storage devices.

This task is slow because the device needs to be reformatted after the backup has been made. The problem with the device, is that the speed which is normally at 80MBytes / second has dropped all the way down to 1.80MBytes / second
The device is healthy the partition just went haywire because of the host that was writing on it.

I'm using my SBC for the task so that I have the other machine for other important work.

The free space is important because I need to install illumos, in order to play with the distribution that I've chosen.

When this microSD card is free I will be parking an installation which is on a SSD

More adventures in #selfhosting! I'm going through more tests before I get to launch #keyboardvagabond! Woo! I just tried to do some uploads to #pixelfed like I did with #instagram. The results are...frustrating.

I can't add any text to or over a story, so then I tried to upload the images that my phone made before instagram and I found a few issues right off of the bat that eventually caused me to give up the post.

First, I couldn't upload the same photo or video files because pixelfed doesn't think they're images or videos.

Second, I tried uploading the originals, but couldn't because the apps and website don't compress them first, so I had to download a video compressor on my phone.

Then, when I tried to upload all of them together in a post, it uploaded then gave me an error that said a post can be either all photos or a single video.

I gave up. I think I might have to put that pixelfed mainly focuses on images. As it is now, I don't think that I'll be able to get too many people to switch off of instagram for keeping in touch. It's still a cool place though, and I can see it as a break from the rest of corporate media while still using instagram to keep in touch with friends and their stories.

I am taking a break off of work for a bit, so maybe I can get to know #PHP a bit and propose or make contributions. It's not that easy diving into new languages and frameworks, though.

Veo mucho runrún por aquí por una supuesta brecha de contraseñas de #PayPal. No os dejéis llevar por el pánico, en base a lo que se puede ver en el anuncio que pone a la venta el leak tiene toda la pinta de que es un recopilatorio de contraseñas robadas a gente que haya sido infectada por un infostealer. Anuncios de leaks como este los hay todos los días y normalmente son refritos de leaks anteriores sin demasiada relevancia real.

Si no estáis afectados por la brecha cambiar la contraseña no supone un cambio significativo en vuestra postura de seguridad, y si lo estáis entonces lo más probable es que estéis infectados por un infostealer y el cambio no será lo más efectivo del mundo porque automáticamente os estarán robando la contraseña nueva.

Lo que sí podéis hacer es activar el MFA si todavía no lo tenéis y suscribiros a servicios como Have I Been Pwned (https://haveibeenpwned.com/) o Mozilla Monitor (https://monitor.mozilla.org/) para que os notifiquen cuando vuestro correo aparezca en un leak verificado.

On cherche des recommandations de logiciels libres de gestion de projets européens SIMPLES qui permettent de gérer une vue kanban ET une vue de type gantt (pour pouvoir voir l'enchaînement des épisodes à venir et planifier les sur quoi on travaille et quand) . Actuellement on utilise #wekan, qui est bien mais qui ne fait pas la vue Gantt...

On peut tout faire simplement sur #anytype , mais on regarde du côté des alternatives web ou autres.

I've tried escaping the angle brackets, that makes no difference.

I'm toying (that may be a weak word for an obsessive like me) with #Ghost #Ghost6 as a central internet comms/hosting platform. It could be perfect as I could have two docker containers running it, one private and inaccessible. For years I've tried and failed to fix this bug in ShapeUp but today it has finally been squashed!

Concave corners now inset correctly and beautifully even with reflex angles! This is only in the dev build now but I'll get a new update out soon (with lots of other cool features for drawing shapes in SwiftUI)
