So funny that influential people are playing Trump's pathetic gold fixation, which is probably used to offset not fitting in with people who have healthier ethics. He desperately plays having a bit of credibility via labels, brands, religious affiliations or whatever. It likely links to historically privileged American types rejecting his gutter-grift attempts at having a modicum of class.
One of the funniest examples is Tim Cook (Apple) giving him a gold item branded with the Apple logo. It is such an easy manipulation tool.
America will NEVER be great when it is defined by gutter-level grifting. That way has no class, integrity or style. Instead, it frantically mimes it, and onlookers see through it.

NIUS bezeichnet sich selbst als Nachrichtenportal, verbreitet jedoch vornehmlich Meinungsartikel, ohne diese zu kennzeichnen. NIUS unterwirft sich nicht dem Pressekodex.

„In der Sendung des ZDF Magazin Royale vom 6. Dezember 2024 wurden Textplagiate von Nius und die Mitwirkung einer rechtsextremen Autorin an Nius aufgedeckt.“ (Quelle: Nius – Wikipedia)
„2023 wies die Betreibergesellschaft von Nius bei einer Bilanzsumme von rund 6,4 Millionen einen Fehlbetrag von 13,8 Millionen Euro auf, der durch Gelder von Gotthardt beglichen wurde. Insgesamt sei das Portal mit Stand Mitte Juli 2025 „nach allen Informationen bislang ein Zuschussgeschäft, [in das Gotthardt Geld] in zweistelliger Millionenhöhe gepumpt“ habe.“ (Nius – Wikipedia)
Zuletzt beteiligte sich NIUS, das ohne die finanzielle Förderung durch Gotthardt nicht überlebensfähig wäre, an der Demontage der Kandidatin für das #Bundesverfassungsgericht, #FraukeBrosiusGersdorf, die von rechten Medien und SocialMedia-Portalen vorangetrieben wurde. Brosius-Gersdorf war durch die SPD-Bundestagsfraktion für das Richteramt vorgeschlagen worden. Aufgrund der rechten Kampagne zog sie ihre Kandidatur zurück.
Begründung
Es ist den Petenten unerklärlich, wie eine amtierende Bundestagspräsidentin in einem solchen Dunstkreis ein Sommerfest durchführen kann. Sollte Frau Klöckner der Zusammenhang nicht bekannt sein, wäre das ebenso fatal.
Es ist im Gegenteil davon auszugehen, dass die Entscheidung an der Veranstaltung teilzunehmen, genau in die Agenda von Frau Klöckner passt, die als eine ihrer ersten Amtshandlungen untersagte, die Regenbogenflagge auf dem Reichstag zu hissen. Damit erfüllte sie eine Forderung, die bis dahin nur von rechten Kreisen stammte.
Die Initiatoren der Petition erwarten, dass die demokratischen Kräfte im Land und vor allem im Bundestag das Verhalten der Bundestagspräsidentin missbilligen, dem angekündigten Sommerfest fernbleiben und den Rücktritt von Frau Klöckner fordern, die mit ihrem intransparenten Verhalten im Amt und dem Schulterschluss mit Förderern von rechtspopulistischen Medien dem Ansehen Deutschlands schadet. ...

What a frustrating day 😩
First at work: we finally managed to get the CCTV working again, and wouldn’t you know it, the same day we had loads of customer “to pays” and drive-offs. On top of that, I was trying to get everything looking nice for the morning, plus doing a bit of cleaning, all while squeezed into the few hours I had. Only two of us on shift, so it felt like a never-ending grind.
Then at home: I tried installing n8n on my Raspberry Pi. That was a headache in itself, but I eventually got it running. The real trouble came when I tried to set up a simple event, basically, I just want it to post a message to my GoToSocial account whenever a friend of mine goes live on Twitch. Sounds easy, right? But nope… I can’t even get the first part working. 🤦
So I’m calling it a night. Tomorrow’s another day, and hopefully I can make it all work and get things hunky dory again. 🌙
