Daily writing prompt What are 5 everyday things that bring you happiness? View all responsesIt’s been a hot minute since I only answered one prompt in a post. Today is one of those days.
Undoubtedly the first one would be waking and offering prayers up. It always seems to be a good thing, okay most of the time. Sometimes I just want to curl back up under the covers and dream of coffee brewing.
Second on the list of gratitude would be of course coffee. My infusion of daily dark roasted delight begins the moment I walk into the kitchen and ends late at night, no wonder my sleeping habits suck.
One of my first ai imagesMy favorite number three. Let me stop and have a nicotine neutralizer before answering this one. Ahhh, nicotine and caffeine, what a delightful ritual for a retired truck driver, brings back memories of little dive truck stops across this great land. Back to the answer or it that the answer? no… it isn’t. Let’s put WordPress in this slot. I enjoy reading all your post even though many times I just like them instead of replying. It’s like we are all in a conference room or campfire sitting around telling our stories and enjoying each others company.
FORE! 😁no not golf. number four. [koffee is kicking in] and why isn’t it spelled like this? Everyday things?… The feeling I get when I take a hit. That’s correct, I love the sensation of the first buzz of the day. It isn’t always a wake and bake either, sometimes I don’t enjoy this ritual until late at night when I sit in front of the boob tube but it is a happiness I enjoy everyday.
And number 5 ? Can you guess? I thought so. Music. I mean what could possibly make me happier than pulling out a piece of vinyl and spinning it, letting the groove fill my soul with happiness and energy. This one could be a double edge sword though. I have musical talent coursing in my veins from my moms side of the family. I grew up watching my cuz learn to play and go on forming bands in his life, his sister learning to tickle the ivory, their mom and dad happy and alive while playing. Uncles and cousins making music made me feel alive. Now here I am in the latter stages of life trying to learn about midis and vst’s to imitate the sounds in my head. Until that day arrives [if it ever does] I will continue to spin vinyl and to share YouTube videos of what sounds good to me.

By way of an overdue #introduction; I'm rather a simple soul, I mainly enjoy tinkering with #computers, strumming #guitars and a wee bit of #spaniel sitting. I'm now taking some tentative first steps into #gardening too, just to fall in with the #retired stereotype I suppose. I'm also reading the #internet and I'm currently about halfway through it. I detest #BigTech, the #algorithm, #AI and #SurveillanceCapitalism. I love the #Fediverse because it reminds me of the olde worlde internet. I try to post/boost a little bit of everything and anything, including #art, #science, #botany, #transport, #animals, #architecture and #humour, without getting too mired in #politics, although it's not easy to avoid politics when you care about #nature and the #environment. I'm happy to interact with everyone/anyone irrespective of creed, colour, nationality or gender preferences. In the nicest sense of the word, I really don't give a fuck what you are. I consider myself to be a floating voter of centre/left leaning persuasion. I support the notion of managed #degrowth and #social responsibility. I would rather discuss the common ground we share and aim to respect our differences. I try to avoid fuckwits wherever I encounter them. Vielleicht ist es die beste Lösung, den eigenen Account zu löschen oder inaktiv zu bleiben und die "Im Trend" Funktion in regelmäßigen Abständen zu nuzten. Weil es hier wirklich wissenswerte Inhalte gibt, neben so unglaublich viel unnötigen Ballast.

The latest OpenClaw versions are advancing rapidly. There's this new "dreaming" mode. I turned it on just to see what happens.
Running latest OpenClaw on a Linux Mint VM in VirtualBox on un-enshittified Windows 10. The host OS runs the OLLAMA server, which the OpenClaw VM talks to. Solar powered 7950X CPU / 128GB DDR5 / 7900XTX GPU. It also runs nicely on my Strix Halo ROG Flow tablet at about 50% speed.

Wir verstehen nicht, warum die #Medien und die #Politik nicht unabhängig von der jetzigen Krise die Vorzüge der #ElektroMobilität stärker hervorheben.
Die steuerlichen Rahmenbedingung sind z.B. sehr attraktiv. #EAutos sind von der #KFZ-Steuer befreit und bei Firmen-KFZ beträgt die #Steuer auf den privaten Verbrauch nur 25% dessen, was bei einem gleich teuren #Verbrenner anfallen würde.
Ähnlich absurd ist es aber auch, dass wir als Gesellschaft die Gefahren von #BigTech und die Vorteile souveräner Lösungen nicht hinreichend thematisieren.

My workflow automatically syncs the GitHub stars with my Obsidian vault, but sometimes people move on or the software loses relevance.
This script is meant to be run manually every once in a while as an habit to look back at what is no longer useful to keep, and quickly delete it.
That's why you get a csv that you can call `cemetery-of-dead-stars.csv`.
