Ugh.. dang it.... @mixxx is great software but it runs the db and settings files LOCALLY and thus in spite of installing it portable you still need to get into system files to access to DB. You can't roam with your database. You have to overwrite whatever is in the local library.
That is super annoying. A truly portable Mixxx would have been so great. At least I know now rather than tomorrow.

If you have any Meta app on your phone, such as Facebook, it is time for a rethink.
Meta is secretly using its AI to scan phone camera rolls of users.
Consider this:
Pre-WWII Nazis would have done similar if the technologies had existed back then, first to profile people under pretences, then to target people for camps etc. It would start with minorities and progress fast to anyone who 'seemed different', 'walked different', owned something they wanted, or disagreed in any way.
Furthermore, why the hell do operating systems leave backdoors open for any toxic, divisive app?
It is not the time in world politics to be coasting on habit and hopes about any app known to have dined with far right.

I actually like this form of code contribution. If I was the main dev of my project, I get to choose which part of code that somebody contributed and then I can either incorporate some or all parts of their code or modify it to my needs and/or wants without having to worry about contributors wanting some form of recognition, or I could just outright reject it if it doesn't fit.

Yeah, this Mississippi thing makes it clear that #Bluesky isn’t decentralized at all, though as David Golumbia discussed in his last book, _Cyberlibertarianism_, it isn’t clear whether “decentralization” writ large is innately a good thing (in Mastodon’s case, it probably is because it prevents it from becoming as enraging as other services; but many see this instead as a bug rather than a feature, i.e., it’s “less engaging”). Bluesky opened February 2023 as an invite-only service and in February 2024 opened public registrations. Mastodon opened October 2016. So obviously 'Mastodon' had a head start of 7 or 8 years.
Today there are hundreds of non-Bluesky PDS, and if Bluesky disappeared tomorrow, all the necessary pieces to replace it exist today, and could be integrated proto into the independent PDS.
