Has anyone got reliable tips for improving the performance of Docker on Windows? One project has acceptance tests which run in about 30s on Linux but 3+ minutes on Windows. I've verified this on a Windows machine I keep around for testing. It's so slow that Windows devs don't want to run the test suite.

Es gibt einen Grund warum ich immer noch CDs habe. Dafür benötige ich kein Abo. Dafür habe ich die Künstler direkt unterstützt; dadurch bekommen sie sehr viel mehr Geld als über Spotify. Aber ich höre auch kein Mainstream, sondern eher spanende Sachen (Acappella, Gerne Jazz usw.). Aber da gibts immer neues zu entdecken und es macht viel mehr Spass als eine KI eine Playlist aussuchen zu lassen. #spotify #youtube

Just switched from Spotify to YouTube Music Premium after their latest price hike. After being a Spotify Premium user for over 13 years! YT family plan is quite affordable, and I can find pretty much any music without ads for podcasts/audiobooks.
I supplement with #SoundCloud for sets, @manetmusic for #Jellyfin -Music, and #audiobookshelf for audiobooks (great iOS clients: Plappa & Prologue).
Downside: no official desktop client, but https://github.com/th-ch/youtube-music works great! #YouTube #Spotify

Quoten kohdalla pelätään kiusaamista, vihapuhetta, keskustelun rikkoutumista (anteeksi, mutta tähän on hiukan vaikea suhtautua vakavasti) jne. kaikkea mitä Twitterissä on tapahtunut. Mutta en tiedä miten se siellä toimii, koska Twitter oli viemäri jo ennen Muskia, ja poistuin sieltä jo ennenkuin siitä tuli muodikasta.
Mutta ilmeisesti lyhytviestisomessa quote tarkoittaa ihan jotain muuta kuin kaikkialla muualla.
Quote on lainaamista. Se mahdollistaa keskustelun, koska ei tarvitse arvailla ja doomscrollata threadia ylös alas selvittääkseen mihin joku aidosti on kommentoinut. Kun eihän täällä edes tiedä kenelle on vastattu (ja siksi pidän keskustelutermiä täällä… ei niin vakavasti otettavana meta-asiana, koska myös ketjut on vissiin tarkoitettu lyhytviestiajatuksella; onneksi foorumit on keksitty).
Mutta Mastodoniin tuleva quote onkin sitten vissiin joku outo uudelleenlähettäminen 😳 Ja siksi sitten tarvitaan asetus, jossa voi päättää kuka saa ylipäätään quoten tehdä.

Auch wenn ich nicht an jeder einzelnen Stelle zustimme, finde ich die Analyse der Lage richtig. Zum Beispiel: Das #Teuken #LLM ist zwar #opensource und teuer gewesen, aber unbrauchbar (im Unterschied zu #olmo2 und vielleicht bald dem #swissai Modell der ETH).
Innovative Forschung ist schon allein aufgrund des lästigen Förderwesens der Wissenschaft in Deutschland mit seinen langen Schleifen im Bereich #KI nicht zu erwarten und Projekte, die Mittel erhalten, scheinen sich auf Prüfsiegel und Vermarktung zu konzentrieren, die man auch sehr viel günstiger hätte haben können.
Natürlich wird viel zu selten nach einem Endprodukt gefragt, das einen innovativen Mehrwert liefert. Auch die Gutachter:innen lesen Abschlussberichte mit einem Übermaß an Wohlwollen, oder
