#bluesky bietet Möglichkeiten, ist aber auch noch immer weit entfernt davon, eine ordentliche Plattform zu sein. Vor allem technisch ist der Dienst enttäuschend (für mich).
X? Oha. Aus Frust habe ich mich da wieder angemeldet. Es ist sehr, sehr schlimm dort. Wirklich sehr schlimm.

Ich hab jetzt schon ca. 4-5x im Client "toot" versehentlich ESC gedrückt (ist ein Terminal, ich erwarte unterbewusst vim-keybindings) und ohne Bestätigung unwiederbringlich meinen geschriebenen Text verworfen.
Das ist ärgerlich.
Dass die Nachricht auch einfach verworfen wird wenn es ein IRGENDWIE geartetes Problem gibt?
Das ist bescheuert.

Think about it. A friend tells me there gonna add me to a group. They tell me the name of the group and #whatsapp sends me a notification saying "[friend] wants to add you to [group name] accept or deny."
Right? It just sounds like people can just be added to groups of the most dubious nature against their will.

Wizard.casa is a Fediverse instance currently under my observation for wellbeing and security concerns regarding internet users.
Recently, one of their members shared this project:

At first glance, it looks like just another technical experiment. But here’s an independent perspective on why this matters beyond the code:
- **Wellbeing risks** → When someone bullies others and avoids accountability in community roles, there’s a real danger that they’ll also build systems that disregard user dignity and safety. Convenience may be prioritized over protection.
- **Trust risks** → If someone is untrustworthy as an admin, how can they be trusted as a developer of communication tools? The Fediverse and Yggdrasil overlap in spaces where privacy and anonymity are crucial — and where bad actors can cause real harm.
Tech cannot be separated from accountability. The way people treat communities is often the way they will design systems.

Also, for some reason, if you Decimal() a float, it inherits the imprecision, but Decimal(str(f)) works

Das Fediverse ist nicht alleine Mastodon und auch wenn ich ich die Idee des Fediverse ja durchaus mehr als nur gut finde, finde ich es ebenso schlecht, als Info-Link hier Eugens Mastodon Account zu verwenden.

Das Ende einer ‚goldenen Ära‘?
Ich beobachte seit einiger Zeit, dass immer mehr kreativ Schaffende einfach verschwinden. Primär auf der Videoplattform YouTube und nicht nur im Tabletop/Miniature Wargaming Bereich.
Angefangen von Schaffenden, die sagen „Ich kann hier kein Geld mehr verdienen, weil YouTube/Google/Alphabet mit meiner Meinung nicht einverstanden ist. Deswegen verlasse ich mich nur noch auf meine Patreons und alles an Videos ist ‚free for all'“, über Hobbyisten, die einfach aufhören zu produzieren und deren Kanäle verwaisen, bis hin zu Kanäle, die ganz direkt sagen „Ich höre auf“.
Die individuellen Gründe mögen hierbei sehr unterschiedlich sein aber ich denke, im großen und ganzen liegt es daran, dass die Goldgräberstimmung vorbei ist.
Früher[tm] reichte es, wenn regelmäßig neue Videos in einen Kanal kam. Das hat die Besucher bei Laune gehalten und den Algorithmus zufrieden gestellt. Werbung sorgte für Einnahmen. Aber in einer Zeit in der „kurz und knackig“ über „lang und gut gemacht“ siegt, steht alles auf dem Kopf. Werbung über die Videos ist eh eher schlecht als recht bezahlt, die Sponsoren suchen sich auch gezielt aus, wo sie ihr Marketing Budget verbraten und der User hat dermaßen viel Auswahl, dass er gar nicht weiß, wem er „5 Euro in den Hut werfen soll“. Patreon, KoFi und Kanalmitgliedschaften sind alles tolle Dinge aber die Anzahl von Konsumenten und deren Hobbybudget ist endlich.
Goth weiß, wie viele Künstler ich unterstützen wollen würde, wenn ich das Geld hätte. Aber alleine bei Patreon habe ich 20 potentielle Mitgliedschaften. Und nicht alle haben einen Einstiegspledge von 1€. Bei einigen sind es 3, 4 oder 5 Euro. Da läppert sich also schnell was zusammen.
Ich fürchte also, wir werden in den nächsten Jahren einiges an Inhalten verlieren, weil es eben für die Schaffenden nicht mehr zum Leben reicht. Das ist schade aber leider die Realität.
Wenn ihr also jemandem folgt, egal auf welchem sozialem Medium, lasst denen doch mal einen positiven Kommentar da. Die freuen sich. Ich schwöre!

Henry Kissinger knew what he was talking about as he was a major player in building the Empire of global hegemony.
The EU-states might have to learn the hard way how it plays out to dance to the tune of this hegemon.
Why are there no options for neutrality on the table that could free the EU from the perils of pacts which in the end are to be undersigned with blood? Why do the rich industrialized states of Western Europe have to meddle into affairs that brings about catastrophe for millions? Isn't there enough to do just to mitigate climate crisis and social deficiencies?
To pose such questions is highly unpopular in public discourse because the march to war seems to have been set a long time ago, and instead of transnational solidarity between all people who are ruled by oligarchic capitalism the poison of nationalism does its work as predictable as ever.
Even if one doesn't agree it's not useless to listen to politicians and activists who have an idea how to disentangle the geopolitical stalemate that could transgress the threshhold to open war after that to return to the status quo ante might be impossible.
