Läuft bei Elon Musk
Scheint ja doch nicht so gut beim ankündigungsweltmeister Elon „technikjesus und hitlergrüßer“ Musk zu laufen, wenn die künstliche intellidingsda einen tesla auf grundlage von videokameraaufnahmen steuert. Aber hej, full self driving ist ja auch schon fertig, wenn man nur immer schön aufmerksam bleibt, immer wieder einmal eingreift und die sonst fälligen unfälle verhindert. Gut, dass noch ein lenkrad drin ist. Unterdessen laufen die robotischen taxis beim mitbewerb schon ganz gut, was vermutlich daran liegt, dass sie sich nicht nur auf die verarbeitung von kamerabildern durch angelernte neuronale netzwerke verlassen, sondern dies um weitere sensoren ergänzen…
Schade, dass diese jornalisten nie ins archiv gucken, wenn sie dann die PResseerklärungen irgendwelcher scheißklitschen abschreiben, mit anderen reklamelügen anderer scheißklitschen umpflastern und zur kwalitätsjornalistischen nachricht erheben!

I guess followers on the Fediverse are listed in reverse order by time. This morning I scrolled to the bottom of my followers list and clicked on the oldest 150 of them to see what they have been tooting in case I overlooked them. This is what I found, which probably will not surprise anyone:
1. More than 90% are inactive profiles with toots being years old, or empty feeds that may result from a setting for older toots to expire.
2. Some profiles are defunct profiles on old instances that have been abandoned and replaced by new active profiles.
3. Some profiles contain new toots I missed, perhaps because they contain no hashtags.
I think many members lose interest for various reasons, including if they do not get much interaction from others—this surely also happens on other social media platforms. What to do, if anything? Guapo, my dog, is meanwhile dreaming and making muffled barking sounds in his sleep.

Schon mal was von Arrays, oder in Go von Structs, gehört? Eine Abfrage in ein Array / einen Struct, und dann in der Schleife damit vergleichen.

While i am sure not everyone approves of my bot @itnewsbot , i have been running it since 6 years to provide a vluable service, and i got feedback good and bad for it over the years. However, when you look at the latest few hundred followers,they came mostly from bots or some other kind of malicious activity. recommendations for Matrix clients for Linux that aren't NeoChat or Element? Ideally something that I can get via Flatpak or RPM and works well under Fedora+KDE, but I'm not opposed to weirder installation procedures (within reason, lol). Bonus points for non-Electron.
NeoChat is fine, but it seems to miss events, so when I wake my computer in the morning I find the latter half of a conversation without context (older messages do appear, just not recent ones since sleeping), and I need to read the first half on my phone

@ObsidianUrbex The cache is more likely to be populated by *incoming* media, so its size is governed more by how many you follow and what they post than what you post. I haven't looked into masto.host specifically in detail, but it might be possible to offload the media cache to external storage to conserve disk space.
If your account is well-federated, discovery is less of a problem. Relays can still absolutely help a small instance.

Ärgerlich ist nur, dass der Account mit über 1.000 Followern nun weg ist. Ich habe mir den Account über Jahre hinweg aufgebaut und er hat sogar einen Umzug von mastodon.social hin zu troet.cafe gut überstanden.
Dort bin ich weg, weil der Server willkürlich Beiträge löscht ohne Angabe von Gründen. U. a. solche über Gaza, welche ggf. nicht der Meinung der Betreiber entsprechen. Kontaktversuche blieben erfolglos.
Das ist übrigens ein Muster im #fediverse und es zeigt, dass die Betreiber schlussendlich mit dem Betrieb eines sozialen Netzwerks überfordert sind. Vor allem, was die Aufgaben und die Verantwortungen angeht, so habe ich den Eindruck.
Klar kann man kommerzielle soziale Netze verteufeln. Gründe gibt es genug dafür. Aber andererseits haben sie eben eine klare Unternehmensstruktur und -abläufe. Und es sind juristische Personen vor dem Recht. Das hat dann manchmal auch Vorteile, wenn man sein Recht einfordern möchte oder muss ...
