I had no destination in mind, no great plans other than a stroll through a beautiful place.
I wasn't going to climb the mountains, but rather, just wanted to be surrounded by their imposing, yet friendly, presence.
It was quiet and still, timeless -- a landscape that has outlasted many, many generations of rulers and lords. It felt good to be there.
