Kurze Info: Bei dem neuen Update des Plugins Koko Analytics (Version 2.0.4) gibt es nach Durchführung des Updates einen Button "Migrate": "Koko Analytics needs to migrate your page stats to a new storage format."
Wenn man das nicht macht, gibt es erst mal keine Statistik bezogen auf Seiten und Beiträge. Die Migration dauert auch länger.
Bei einer Instanz bekam ich einen kritischen Fehler, der aber offensichtlich keine Auswirkungen auf Backend und Frontend hatte.

"Members of the Department of Government Efficiency uploaded a copy of a crucial Social Security database in June to a vulnerable cloud server, putting the personal information of hundreds of millions of Americans at risk of being leaked or hacked, according to a whistle-blower complaint filed by the Social Security Administration’s chief data officer.
The database contains records of all Social Security numbers issued by the federal government. It includes individuals’ full names, addresses and birth dates, among other details that could be used to steal their identities, making it one of the nation’s most sensitive repositories of personal information.
The account by the whistle-blower, Charles Borges, underscores concerns that have led to lawsuits seeking to block young software engineers at the agency built by Elon Musk from having access to confidential government data. In his complaint, Mr. Borges said DOGE members copied the data to an internal agency server that only DOGE could access, forgoing the type of “independent security monitoring” normally required under agency policy for such sensitive data and creating “enormous vulnerabilities.”
Mr. Borges did not indicate that the database had been breached or used inappropriately.
But his disclosure stated that as of late June, “no verified audit or oversight mechanisms” existed to monitor what DOGE was using the data for or whether it was being shared outside the agency."

Today, I tested the image editing capability of Gemini 2.5 Flash Image, which uses the Nano Banana tech behind the scenes. It works so well that two of the best proprietary models out there (Gemini 2.5 Pro and GPT-5 thinking) couldn't understand it was AI. Next, I showed the full image to two sighted individuals, both of whom were amazed at how natural and nicely done the editing had been.
Yes. This can have lots of bad consequences, but lots of good uses, too. And for its good uses, I am incredibly happy, as it is going to be very useful for me. Congratulations to Google.

I'm looking for sources that describe cautionary tales about how the #activism of social movements have been or could be undermined by their use of corporate, proprietary online services. Either because these services enshittify or because they are captured by powerful actors who oppose the social movement.
Does anyone make a concise case for nontechnical #progressives that they should be using #opensource and #federated services?
