Ainsi, des associations et des fondations supportant l'Etat Islamique ont ouvert des canaux en plusieurs langues sur Element. On y trouve entre autres la At-Tamkeen Media Foundation et la Ala Nahjen Qaweem Foundation. Une simple recherche sur Google vous donnera les éléments de propagrande de ces deux "fondations".
En fait leur programme se résume dans le slogan de Ala Nahjem Qaweem : “So that we may worship God with insight.” Ils se servent d'Element pour diffuser non seulement pour diffuser la propagande de l'Etat Islamique mais aussi pour recruter.
Bref on n'en a pas fini avec cette engeance fasciste.
Si ce fascisme s'implante aussi facilement sur des apps dont la nature même est de vouloir protéger la vie privée des gens, la modération doit y être rigoureuse et irréprochable. Or sur des apps où la modération du contenu est plus difficile en raison de mesures de confidentialité encore plus strictes, on est face à un nouveau véritable problème démocratique (pour ne pas dire de sécurité nationale).

#linkding is another #opensource option, which seems the best fit for me: simple yet nice UI, it does what I need and even a bit more.
I'd need to self-host, why not, I'm not against it.
The browser addon has a feature I always wanted for #InMyPocket: search the items from the address bar. It can't list all your items though 😅 but again, I could adapt #InMyPocket to support this project.
It seems like a good option for me, but I'd also need to build something to sync to my #ereader.

Open-source means many clients and integrations... of varying quality.
I could adapt #InMyPocket to support it, or contribute to the existing projects.
I'm not sure about the state of mobile clients. There are ways to sync with e-readers but again, not sure how practical they are.
I feel everything I need is possible but I'm worried about the UX of everything too 😅

Looking in at the USA from outside, I'm actually astonished that the only ones being shot are children in school. Not becuse that is unusual, sadly not, but because, with so many guns floating around, and a fascist regime, one could have half expected what would be seen as a civil war. Maybe it a case of the analogy of the frog being sowly warmed then boiled to death (it's an analogy). I hope that the USA Constitiution is robust enough for decent people to push back against a Tyrant, but oftn it seems that the world is holding its breath. I'm realisingg I'm living in a power company hell. After getting away from British Gas to a company that works fine for me, but British Gas still owe me money (they kicked off the hell y attemting to overcharge me by £4000.00 when the introduced a new accounting system (shades of the Post Office?). I pay my ills and all is quiet on the power supply front when another company sends me bills by post (Not addressed to my name). I throw the first one away, the second, I call them and ask them to stop, they say no until they sort it out! I point out they can do what they like, I have my supply from a different company, havee never dealt with them. Now, I,m actually wondering if it's something British gas did meter wise) Geez, life used to be easier beore everything became digital. Right now I'm looking with envy at anyone living off-grid!
