Zbyt duża pewność siebie przy podawaniu błędnych informacji to wciąż jedna z głównych słabości sztucznej inteligencji. OpenAI ogłosiło właśnie, że ChatGPT nareszcie radzi sobie z popularnym w sieci testem na logikę. Entuzjazm użytkowników szybko jednak opadł. Sprawdzenie podobnych haseł sugeruje, że firma rozwiązała tylko jeden wiralowy problem, nie naprawiając przy tym systemowych ograniczeń swojego algorytmu.
Dlaczego sztuczna inteligencja nie potrafi liczyć liter? Winna jest tokenizacja
Przez długi czas jednym z najprostszych sposobów na obnażenie ułomności ChatGPT było zapytanie go o liczbę liter „R” w angielskim słowie „strawberry” (truskawka). Model regularnie podawał błędną odpowiedź, nierzadko trwając przy błędzie w dyskusji z użytkownikiem. Podobnie wyglądała sprawa z zagadką o myjni samochodowej oddalonej o 50 metrów – sztuczna inteligencja bezrefleksyjnie doradzała spacer, ignorując fakt, że auto trzeba w to miejsce jakoś dostarczyć.
Aby w pełni zrozumieć ten fenomen, trzeba na sprawę spojrzeć od strony technicznej. Duże modele językowe (LLM) nie operują na pojedynczych literach, lecz na tak zwanych tokenach, czyli fragmentach słów lub sylabach. Z tego powodu zadania polegające na precyzyjnym liczeniu znaków wewnątrz konkretnego wyrazu bywają dla nich zaskakująco trudne i sprzeczne z ich architekturą.
Test żurawiny obnaża doraźną strategię twórców
OpenAI oficjalnie pochwaliło się w serwisie X, że ich sztandarowy produkt poprawnie rozwiązuje już wspomniane zagadki z truskawką i myjnią. Szybko jednak okazało się, że może to sugerować próbę rozwiązania konkretnego, uciążliwego wizerunkowo problemu, a nie fundamentalną poprawę działania modelu. Jak zauważa serwis 9to5Google, wystarczyło lekko zmodyfikować zapytanie, by sztuczna inteligencja znów zaczęła się gubić.
Kiedy internauci zapytali ChatGPT o liczbę liter „R” w słowie „cranberry” (żurawina), chatbot z pełnym przekonaniem odpowiadał, że w wyrazie znajduje się tylko jedna taka litera.
Wygląda to bardziej na punktową łatkę – przypisanie poprawnej odpowiedzi do konkretnego, popularnego w sieci zapytania – niż na systemową zmianę sposobu przetwarzania danych. To ważne przypomnienie dla użytkowników: choć duże modele językowe zachwycają elokwencją, nadal są tylko potężnymi generatorami prawdopodobieństwa i warto podchodzić do nich z odpowiednim dystansem.

Recently, CodePen introduced CodePen 2.0, and since then, I have been trying to figure out how to modify my workflow for this blog to use it. I have been using CodePen to host my code demos for over six years now, and it feels weird to change, but it seems like a positive development. Lately, I have been writing a lot of posts about how to use Vue.js with Web Awesome. Let’s start with something that we can use to demonstrate basic functionality with Vue.js, Web Awesome, and Font Awesome.
So, what’s going on here? In previous demos (like the one for More Web Awesome Dropdowns), there were three files for each pen (the markup, CSS, and JavaScript). For 2.0 pens, you can have many more (and it uses Vite). In the demo above, App.vue handles the application layout, Header.vue handles the header, and CounterButton.vue handles the button’s behavior. I have done A LOT of experimentation since the 2.0 editor dropped, and I can’t get a few things (like Vue Router) to work, but I am hoping that will come with time. Since I can add more files, I added the social meta tags and a manifest.json. It means that the result should be more shareable on its own. I also added a light-mode/dark-mode toggle, a link to view the files, and a link to the blog post.
I think that, moving forward, I will keep using the same header. I hope that you appreciate the result.

Getting fed up with GridMaps!
Tried to add some texture to my Dungeon meshes, but the tiling is too noticeable. I think I want to use bricks/blocks instead. But I need to re-do the texture in Blender, re-import, rebuild the Meshes, rebuild the MeshLibrary...
All seems a lot of trouble.
Does anyone have a decent workflow for adjusting GridMap meshes?

A partir de esta semana y durante los próximos meses, millones de usuarios en Android e iOS de todo el mundo podrán minimizar sus videos en una pequeña ventana flotante y seguir navegando por otras aplicaciones.
El funcionamiento es sencillo e intuitivo: al comenzar a reproducir un video y salir de la app de YouTube (ya sea deslizando hacia arriba o tocando el botón de inicio), la interfaz se reduce a un pequeño reproductor flotante que puede moverse por la pantalla o redimensionarse. Según los datos técnicos de la plataforma, esta actualización gratuita permite disfrutar de contenido de formato largo (películas, documentales o vlogs), pero impone una restricción importante: no funciona con videos musicales. Quienes deseen escuchar música en segundo plano deberán seguir pagando la suscripción Premium.
El lanzamiento llega tras años de pruebas y peticiones de la comunidad internacional, y se espera que llegue de forma gradual a todos los dispositivos durante los próximos meses. Con esta medida, Google no solo mejora la experiencia de los usuarios gratuitos en el consumo de contenido, sino que marca una distinción clara en su modelo de negocio, reservando las ventajas de audio en segundo plano y el catálogo de YouTube Music exclusivamente para sus clientes de pago.
