Version control system #gameoftrees 0.118 has been released.
🐛 Fix a security issue in got-portable: Ever since chroot-less operation was introduced in the 0.111 release, gotwebd could be tricked into reading #git repositories located outside its designated repository directory. The #OpenBSD version is not affected because it uses unveil to limit itself to this directory.
🕸️ gotwebd is more snappy now that it actually processes requests in parallel based on the number of pre-forked workers set in the configuration file. This feature was already present but it did not work as intended.
❓Parsing of gotwebd querystrings and FCGI parameters has been moved into a dedicated process which runs in chroot, and on #OpenBSD runs under pledge("stdio").
📁 gotsysd no longer disables sftp/scp support in the generated sshd configuration file. This was disabled on purpose but not having it enabled is too inconvenient for system administrators.

Ich selbst habe zwar schon umfangreiche Erfahrung mit zahlreichen Fedi-Diensten, nutze diese aber bevorzugt und fast ausschließlich per Web App (meist über Ferdium). Ich habe nur mit einigen wenigen Apps wie #Tusky #Fedilab #Racoon und #Aria Erfahrung, nutze diese aber auch nur sporadisch, um mal unterwegs reinzuschauen, ohne damit groß aktiv zu sein.
Anscheinend gibt es aber viele Menschen, die - auch wenn die jeweilige Web App auch im Mäusekino gut funktioniert - es bevorzugen, eine native App zu nutzen.
Die Umfrageergebnisse und Empfehlungen würde ich als Grundlage nutzen, um den Leuten auf dem Barcamp bei Bedarf eine für Sie passende App vorzuschlagen, damit sie einen positiven Einstieg haben.
...vielleicht kann der eine oder die andere aber darüber hinaus hier auch noch hilfreiche Empfehlungen entdecken...

Ich schaue mir momentan ja Leuchtturmvideos von Peter Halil aus GB an, welche er in den späten 80ern bis Ende 90er klassisch mit Camcorder aufgenommen hat und nun Stück für Stück auf YouTube hochlädt. Er hat eine steigende Fangemeinde. Aber jetzt kommt der Hammer, obwohl er keinerlei Fremdmusik oder Geräusche aufnimmt, bekommt er ContentID Matches auf die Geräusche des Meers und der Brandung. It's a hard one and #paradox now but eventually NO TO BANKS and more to LOGIC / VALUE OF PEOPLE for themselves / to the planet and not banks.
That's why money is never enough and people go crazy running towards the carrot they can't quite get. You need real people, appreciation, love, respect, conversation, #EmotionalIntelligence, #Care.
Money strips all that making it too 'cheap' and easy in it's own way to last.
