Coraz więcej pacjentów odkrywa, że ich terapeuci potajemnie wykorzystują narzędzia sztucznej inteligencji, takie jak ChatGPT, podczas sesji terapeutycznych.
Jak donosi MIT Technology Review, prywatne i często bolesne wyznania są wprowadzane do ogólnodostępnych modeli AI bez wiedzy i zgody pacjentów, co rodzi poważne pytania o etykę i zaufanie w relacji terapeutycznej.
W jednym z opisanych przypadków terapeuta podczas sesji online przypadkowo udostępnił swój ekran, a pacjent na własne oczy zobaczył, jak jego osobiste przemyślenia są w czasie rzeczywistym wpisywane w okno czatu ChatGPT. Następnie terapeuta powtarzał odpowiedzi wygenerowane przez algorytm. Takie incydenty, odkrywane przez pacjentów, prowadzą do konfrontacji i nieodwracalnie niszczą zaufanie, które jest fundamentem skutecznej terapii. Eksperci podkreślają, że kluczowym problemem jest brak transparentności; terapeuci, którzy decydują się na wspomaganie AI, powinni bezwzględnie informować o tym swoich pacjentów.
Motywacje terapeutów sięgających po AI są różne. Niektórzy postrzegają te narzędzia jako sposób na oszczędność czasu, zwłaszcza w kontekście nielubianego przez nich obowiązku sporządzania notatek z sesji. Większość specjalistów, z którymi rozmawiali dziennikarze, jest jednak sceptyczna co do wykorzystywania AI do uzyskiwania porad dotyczących leczenia pacjenta. Wyrażają oni również obawy związane z wprowadzaniem wrażliwych danych do ogólnodostępnych narzędzi. Należy przy tym odróżnić użycie ogólnych modeli AI od specjalistycznych, dedykowanych botów terapeutycznych, których pierwsze badania kliniczne przyniosły obiecujące rezultaty.

W Stanach Zjednoczonych pojawiają się też pierwsze regulacje prawne – stany Nevada i Illinois wprowadziły przepisy zakazujące wykorzystywania sztucznej inteligencji w podejmowaniu decyzji terapeutycznych.
Przedstawiciele firm technologicznych zdają się zachęcać do takiego wykorzystania AI. Sam Altman z OpenAI stwierdził, że wiele osób „skutecznie używa ChatGPT jako swego rodzaju terapeuty” i postrzega to jako zjawisko pozytywne. Eksperci kontrują jednak, że to, co oferują chatboty, nie jest prawdziwą terapią. Prawdziwa terapia często bywa procesem niewygodnym i wymagającym, podczas gdy AI ogranicza się do bycia „kojącym i potwierdzającym wszystko”, co powie użytkownik, bez rzucania wyzwań i dążenia do głębszego zrozumienia problemu.

Por ejemplo, eso suele pasar con tiktokers que tienen una voz de autoridad en su tema, entonces me voy a su página de Facebook, Twitter o Instagram, y hasta YouTube, y en otras plataformas hasta jurarías que es alguien sin «fama», una persona normal como tú y como yo.
Sé que muchos dirán que soy una envidiosa y sí, quizás sí, pero también me plantea muchas preguntas importantes sobre cómo funciona realmente el mundo digital.
¿Por Qué Algunos Influencers Solo Brillan en Una Plataforma?
Esta situación me fascina porque revela algo fundamental: hay contenido que es más compatible con cierta plataforma, ya sea por el formato, por la audiencia, o porque entraste en un momento clave de la plataforma. No todos nacen con el don de conquistar todas las redes por igual.
La Realidad del Contenido Específico por Plataforma
El Formato Marca la Diferencia
Una joven disfrutando de la puesta de sol mientras interactúa con su teléfono móvil, reflejando la conexión digital en un entorno natural.Cada red social tiene su propio lenguaje y esto se ve clarísimo en ejemplos súper específicos. Por ejemplo, hay muchos tiktokers que suelen hacer videos solo saliendo a cámara y asintiendo sobre un texto con una música viral o adecuada, y ya se hace viral. Pero ese mismo formato en los reels de Instagram no funciona tanto, y mucho menos en otras plataformas como YouTube o Twitter.
Lo que funciona en TikTok con contenido especializado y esa autoridad en temas específicos puede ser un fracaso total en otras plataformas donde la audiencia busca formatos diferentes. Un creador puede ser genial explicando conceptos complejos en videos cortos y directos, pero completamente perdido tratando de adaptar su conocimiento a otros formatos o audiencias.
La Audiencia Es Clave
Cada plataforma atrae a diferentes tipos de usuarios. TikTok puede tener una audiencia que busca información rápida y especializada, mientras que Instagram atrae a personas que prefieren contenido más visual. Un influencer que conecta perfectamente con su nicho en una plataforma podría no tener nada que ofrecer a audiencias diferentes en otras redes.
El Momento Perfecto Existe
Entrar en el momento adecuado puede ser la diferencia entre el éxito y el anonimato. Algunos creadores tuvieron la suerte de encontrar su audiencia cuando una plataforma estaba creciendo en su área específica, mientras que llegar tarde significa competir con expertos ya establecidos.
La Desmitificación de la Autoridad Digital
Yo sinceramente soy una desconocida y no famosa en todas las plataformas, al menos ahora. Pero sigo pensando que es muy satisfactorio descubrir que esos influencers, sin esa aura de fama, son como tú y como yo. Muchas veces hasta pierden esa magia cuando los ves empezando desde cero en otras redes.
Esta experiencia me ha enseñado algo valioso: los influencers, sin importar cuán respetados sean como expertos en su plataforma principal, siguen siendo personas normales. Cuando los ves tratando de construir esa misma autoridad en otras redes, se vuelven más humanos y cercanos.
Una Reflexión Que Vale la Pena

También me ha enseñado que esos perfiles que parecen tenerlo todo resuelto en una plataforma, en realidad pueden estar bastante perdidos en otras. Detrás de cada cuenta exitosa hay limitaciones que no siempre se ven a simple vista.

I received an abuse report from an admin for another #PeerTube instance that my federated videos are not playable on other instances.
I looked into it and checked multiple instances that follow mine and I was able to play back all my videos.
If anyone else sees the same issue, I want to figure out root cause. Unfortunately the reporting admin muted my account on his instance so I can't tell if there's something on his end causing the issue but if there is a way to reproduce, let me know.

I like to poke LinkedIn once in awhile with an "AI" critique to see what I can stir up. One reason I do this is to keep an eye on the changing form of the booster rhetoric. Nowadays a lot of folks respond to critique with some form of "today's LLMs are bad but tomorrow's will be amazing", the true believer/quasi-religious response with a touch of false humility for flavor. Yesterday I got a "AI critics are just as bad as AI boosters" false dichotomy, which by my read was a variant of the "AI critics are hysterical and irrational" with the twist that the speaker was suggesting that boosters are too. That felt new-ish to me. Granted, the hubristic "we're the smart guys in the room, you should do what we say" framing is ancient in the tech industry. Suggesting the boosters are also not the smart guys in the room is an interesting move because it's an attempt to go meta. Neither the boosters nor the critics are the smart guys in the room; the smart guys in the room are actually the ones who can see that (and so you should do what they say, which is more LLMs always).

Immich and External Libraries

Over two or three years I have been playing with Immich. In that time I have exported my photos from two or three phones multiple times. The reason for me importing photos multiple times is that every so often I update immich and something breaks. It is at this point that I reimport libraries yet again.
From One Pi to Another
This morning I swapped from one Pi to another because the other Pi has an NVMe drive attached to it. The logic is that I can use the SD card as the primary drive, and the NVMe drive as the backup drive.
I was considering using an external drive. If I do this then I need to make space for that drive, and it will have to run permanently. If I use the m2 hat, it has its usual footprint, and I have a primary and backup drive. Every so often I can use Rsync to backup to a third drive.
MyCloud to Replace Google Photos
For offsite backup I use Swisscom's MyCloud, and Infomaniak's KSuite. If you're curious about why I use both, the short answer is legacy. I was playing with MyCloud until it became paying. In the case of Ksuite it's because I'm on the 6TB plan, so I'm relaxed about using them as an offsite backup.
Importing External Libraries with Immich
For instructions you can use the Immich instructions. The relevance of getting the import of external libraries to work, within Immich is that, in my experience, every few updates something breaks and you are stuck with having to reimport your library if you do not have a work flow to import the old library to a new container.
My aim this morning was to get that workflow in place, so that in the near future I backup the photos to a Pi with an Immich Docker container. This will then be backed up to an NVMe drive, and then to an external hard drive.
There are two aims. The first is to be sure to have two local backups that are updated at least daily, and a third backup that is weekly. If immich fails, for any reason, then I want to be able to rebuild the library without having to sync from a phone yet again. This usually takes hours, especially when you have tens of thousands of photos. When I trust that my self-hosted solution can be relied upon, then I can minimise my reliance on cloud solutions such as iCloud, MyCloud, and Google Photos.
For a while exporting from Google Photos to Kdrive was very fast, but they have recently made exporting from Google to Infomaniak more complicated, which is why dumping Google Photos is interesting. With MyCloud and iCloud I don't want to upgrade to more than 260 Gb because I don't trust them to make it possible for me to retrieve my data.
With Kdrive the work flow to backup photos from my phones to Kdrive is simple, and from Kdrive to a local drive is also straight forward. With Kdrive I have an offsite backup that can very easily revert to being an onsite backup.
Immich as Primary Photo App
I used PhotoPrism and Immich in parallel and although I prefer Photoprism because it's European, Immich seems to have been more dependable over time. I find myself automatically using Immich more. It has an iOS and android app.
Photoprism worked great, for an extended period of time but eventually it lost track of where photos were kept and I stopped experimenting with the app, temporarily.
If today's experiment goes well then when Immich breaks next recovery will be a matter of minutes, rather than hours.
And Finally
Self-hosting an app like Immich is a fun learning experience. It allows you to learn new skills, including ensuring uptime, and resiliance. Over two years Immich has been dependable although three or four times the app broke so I started again. My aim, with this morning's experiment, and going forward, is to ensure that the service has reliable uptime and resilience.
