Z.B. IP-Adressen, Standort, Kontakte & Profilbilder.

Meta sagt da nur - klar sagt er das, er wurde gefeuert und... Bei Meta sei man stolz auf die "solide Erfolgsbilanz" beim Schutz der Privatsphäre.

I've got a personal #coding project on to tidy up my images. I have #photos, the same photos that have been cropped for socials, downloaded stupid memes, scans, backups of backups but slightly different, photo collections from family which overlap with mine. It's a mess.

1️⃣ I dumped all my images into one folder. Nearly 50,000.

2️⃣ First I renamed them all to the first seven characters of a GUID. So they all have random names, I'm sure not naming them all manually.

3️⃣ Then I used tools called dupeguru and czkawka to find the duplicates. That got me to 37,000 items.

4️⃣ Now I am working on #python scripts to classify using EXIF metadata and simple image processing to classify whether it is a photo or not. I'm keen to learn python lately and this is exactly the sort of project I need to start out.

Yes, I am aware of the report and the user has already been contacted. It’s not always possible to respond immediately – not everyone can just sit down at the computer right away. Some of the reports were handled in the morning, and I will finish the rest after returning home.

I take moderation seriously, but running the instance is a volunteer activity that I do in my free time. If any further issues come up, please feel free to reach out – I always review reports as soon as I can.

I don’t understand why you immediately issue a fediblock. Is it really the case that if something isn’t resolved within five minutes, the whole instance gets blocked? I honestly don’t get it.

And honestly - even I do not get what's the problem. Dude acted like idiot, was notified, moderated and makes no problems anymore.

There won't be much #fediverse if people would block each others instances after one rule-violation 😀

Google finally disabled Manifest V2 extensions in Chromium version 140!

Unlike previous releases where they already tried to push users towards removing #uBlock origin and other V2 extensions, it was still possible to re enable them.
Today I had to switch to uBlock Origin Lite and jokes on you #YouTube I don't see any ads. Just two days ago they launched another attempt to prevent me from using #adblock and within hours, uBlock managed to bypass it, thanks.

It turns out Lisa Cook, the #Fed governor that the #Trump admin tried to oust “for cause,” doesn’t seem to have committed mortgage fraud after all. Imagine that.

She said her non-primary residence was meant for “vacation home” property use in loan documents & called it a “second home” in a security clearance questionnaire.

Her lender knew it was a non-primary residence, for which she agreed to terms and even paid more than the primary-residence mortgage rate.

Arduino and Groovesizer TB2 are great examples of open-source projects. The TB2 is a 4 voice paraphonic wavetable synth shield for the Arduino Due development board.
I bought a kit from them (it is not free), and built my own, it was fun to make! (quite difficult soldering job tho). One can even modify the firmware provided by Groovesizer.

Diskussion zu sozialen Netzen beim #Ostkongress: grundsätzliche Kritik an den oligarchischen Hassverstärkern von #Meta, #Tiktok etc. ist in der Minderheit. Viele versuchen innerhalb dieser Plattformen Erfolg zu haben.
#Fediverse auch eher von der Minderheit genutzt.
Ich finde das naiv und gefährlich. Ich wünsche mir EU-weite öffentliche Lösungen, die transparent und kompatibel sind. Ich wünsche mir wirksame Regeln für private Netzwerke.
