Hmm, apparently some #SocialMedia, #Facebook in this case, has an issue with histories of librarians. Shared the story on our library page, then shared it to local groups. One of the groups actually put the post as "pending" (i.e. on hold for review).
I feel so damn filthy every time I use FB. Only reason I log on to it is for the library's page, which our admin briefly deleted then decided to keep it (But that is another story).

Ihr habt es hoffentlich schon mitbekommen: Am Mittwoch, dem 17. September 2025 um 19.30 Uhr findet der erste Hubzilla Workshop für den deutschsprachigen Raum statt.
Die Initiative dafür ging von @Doris aus, die ja die monatliche Fediverse-Sprechstunde durchführt. Sie selbst ist durch den Themenschwerpunkt "Hubzilla" bei einer dieser Veranstaltungen auf die Software aufmerksam geworden, war sofort interessiert, schnell begeistert, hatte im Handumdrehen einen Account und Kanäle, und betreibt inzwischen mit @Steffen selbst einen Hub.
Für wen soll der Hubzilla Workshop sein?
Für reine Nutzer, für Interessierte, die etwas über Hubzilla erfahren wollen, aber vor allem auch für Admins keiner (vielleicht Single-User-) Hubs, sowie erfahrene Admins auch größerer Hubs. Also quasi für alle, die sich für Hubzilla interessieren.
Um was soll es gehen?
Nun, der erste Workshop jetzt am kommenden Mittwoch wird sicherlich ein wenig chaotisch. Man nennt das auch "Orientierungsphase". Es ist aber angedacht, dass jeder Workshop ein Schwerpunkt-Thema hat (vielleicht auch einmal zwei, wenn sie nicht zu umfangreich ausfallen). Dabei kann es z.B. darum gehen, wie man bestimmte Projekte, für die man ein CMS benötigt, mit Hubzilla verwirklichen kann. Oder um speziellere Themen, wie z.B. die Optimierung des eigenen Hub. Das Thema wird dann von einem Teilnehmer verantwortlich vorgestellt. Das kann gerne auch mit einem Video stattfinden, welches zu Beginn abgespielt wird. Nachdem der "Vortrag" zum Thema beendet ist, soll es dann – sofern sinnvoll – auch gemeinsam an die praktisch vorgeführte Umsetzung gehen. Und es wird Fragen und Antworten dazu geben.
Außerdem soll es bei jedem Workshop auch eine allgemeine F&A-Runde geben, das Vorstellen "kleinerer" Tipps und Tricks und die Besprechung der kommenden Schwerpunkte. Und eine Plauderrunde zum Ausklang darf natürlich auch nicht fehlen.
Manche Workshops werden, sofern es erforderlich oder sinnvoll erscheint, aufgezeichnet und die Aufzeichnung zum Download angeboten. Dies wird selbstverständlich vorher angekündigt. Generell wird es ohnehin Aufzeichnungen geben, die aber lediglich dazu dienen, ein kurzes Protokoll zu transkribieren. Diese Mitschnitte werden nach dem Verfassen des Protokolls dann aber gelöscht und definitiv keinem Dritten zugänglich gemacht.
Workshop-Kanal
Für das Workshopprojekt haben wir einen eigenen Kanal (hz-workshop@hub.hubzilla.hu) erstellt, der von Doris, @𝓒𝓱𝓻𝓲𝓼 und mir verwaltet wird. In diesem Kanal findet Ihr die Termine der Workshops, wichtige Informationen und verschiedene Dateien (die optionale Aufzeichnung eines WS, das Transskript/Protokoll, Präsentationen und Videos, sonstige Texte, Grafiken...), sowie Artikel zu Schwerpunkt-Themen. Außerdem werden wir die einzelnen Veranstaltungen auch mit diesem Kanal im Fediverse ankündigen.
Wenn Ihr in den wenigen Tagen bis zum Start noch auf einen Fediverse-Nutzer aufmerksam werdet, der an Hubzilla interessiert zu sein scheint, dann dürft Ihr den natürlich auch gerne auf die Veranstaltung aufmerksam machen.
Es geht uns darum, dass diejenigen, die Hubzilla selbst betreiben oder intensiver für größere, spezielle Projekte nutzen, einen Kompetenzzuwachs erfahren. Und es geht uns darum, Hubzilla generell populärer zu machen. Die Einstiegshürden für Nutzer wie Admins sollen damit gesenkt werden.

Ihr habt es hoffentlich schon mitbekommen: Am Mittwoch, dem 17. September 2025 um 19.30 Uhr findet der erste Hubzilla Workshop für den deutschsprachigen Raum statt.
Die Initiative dafür ging von @Doris aus, die ja die monatliche Fediverse-Sprechstunde durchführt. Sie selbst ist durch den Themenschwerpunkt "Hubzilla" bei einer dieser Veranstaltungen auf die Software aufmerksam geworden, war sofort interessiert, schnell begeistert, hatte im Handumdrehen einen Account und Kanäle, und betreibt inzwischen mit @Steffen selbst einen Hub.
Für wen soll der Hubzilla Workshop sein?
Für reine Nutzer, für Interessierte, die etwas über Hubzilla erfahren wollen, aber vor allem auch für Admins keiner (vielleicht Single-User-) Hubs, sowie erfahrene Admins auch größerer Hubs. Also quasi für alle, die sich für Hubzilla interessieren.
Um was soll es gehen?
Nun, der erste Workshop jetzt am kommenden Mittwoch wird sicherlich ein wenig chaotisch. Man nennt das auch "Orientierungsphase". Es ist aber angedacht, dass jeder Workshop ein Schwerpunkt-Thema hat (vielleicht auch einmal zwei, wenn sie nicht zu umfangreich ausfallen). Dabei kann es z.B. darum gehen, wie man bestimmte Projekte, für die man ein CMS benötigt, mit Hubzilla verwirklichen kann. Oder um speziellere Themen, wie z.B. die Optimierung des eigenen Hub. Das Thema wird dann von einem Teilnehmer verantwortlich vorgestellt. Das kann gerne auch mit einem Video stattfinden, welches zu Beginn abgespielt wird. Nachdem der "Vortrag" zum Thema beendet ist, soll es dann – sofern sinnvoll – auch gemeinsam an die praktisch vorgeführte Umsetzung gehen. Und es wird Fragen und Antworten dazu geben.
Außerdem soll es bei jedem Workshop auch eine allgemeine F&A-Runde geben, das Vorstellen "kleinerer" Tipps und Tricks und die Besprechung der kommenden Schwerpunkte. Und eine Plauderrunde zum Ausklang darf natürlich auch nicht fehlen.
Manche Workshops werden, sofern es erforderlich oder sinnvoll erscheint, aufgezeichnet und die Aufzeichnung zum Download angeboten. Dies wird selbstverständlich vorher angekündigt. Generell wird es ohnehin Aufzeichnungen geben, die aber lediglich dazu dienen, ein kurzes Protokoll zu transkribieren. Diese Mitschnitte werden nach dem Verfassen des Protokolls dann aber gelöscht und definitiv keinem Dritten zugänglich gemacht.
Workshop-Kanal
Für das Workshopprojekt haben wir einen eigenen Kanal (hz-workshop@hub.hubzilla.hu) erstellt, der von Doris, @𝓒𝓱𝓻𝓲𝓼 und mir verwaltet wird. In diesem Kanal findet Ihr die Termine der Workshops, wichtige Informationen und verschiedene Dateien (die optionale Aufzeichnung eines WS, das Transskript/Protokoll, Präsentationen und Videos, sonstige Texte, Grafiken...), sowie Artikel zu Schwerpunkt-Themen. Außerdem werden wir die einzelnen Veranstaltungen auch mit diesem Kanal im Fediverse ankündigen.
Wenn Ihr in den wenigen Tagen bis zum Start noch auf einen Fediverse-Nutzer aufmerksam werdet, der an Hubzilla interessiert zu sein scheint, dann dürft Ihr den natürlich auch gerne auf die Veranstaltung aufmerksam machen.
Es geht uns darum, dass diejenigen, die Hubzilla selbst betreiben oder intensiver für größere, spezielle Projekte nutzen, einen Kompetenzzuwachs erfahren. Und es geht uns darum, Hubzilla generell populärer zu machen. Die Einstiegshürden für Nutzer wie Admins sollen damit gesenkt werden.

I need to build a fresh-peach-sourcing mafia. I never lived in #Georgia, #USA, but I am utterly addicted to the old-fashioned #peaches I used to find occasionally, with a scent so intense it was hard to get them home.
