This is (will be) a Swiss-army knife type multi-tool for frequent little tasks I've been encountering and not found satisfactory equivalent other solutions for. So far, there're only two commands published, but a dozen or so more are to come (for which I still have more cleaning up to do, also in upstream projects):
- CSV-to-JSON parsing/conversion, with configurable filtering, renaming and column value coercions
- De-dupe lines with support for regexp-based inclusions, exclusions and pattern-based uniqueness. Patterns can be read from files.
The readme contains installation instructions and documentation for all commands, their options and some example use cases. E.g. I regularly use the `dedupe-lines` command to cleanup my `.bash_history` file.
Using https://bun.sh, the tool can be compiled into a standalone executable.
All commands share common infrastructure of the main CLI tooling (based on https://thi.ng/args and many other https://thi.ng/umbrella packages). This reduces the code size of each command and makes it trivial to add additional commands (or share functionality, invoke some of those other commands for sub-tasks). There're also re-usable CLI arg specs to provide a uniform "API" for certain types of parameters.
Some of the still unreleased commands are for `ffmpeg` workflows/tasks, will update when ready...

Bei meinem Umstieg von Windows nach Linux Mint bin ich mittlerweile schon relativ weit. Bleiben noch die Punkte Programmierung und Datenbanken. Nachdem ich unter Windows fast ausschliesslich mit VB.net programmiert habe, muss ich mir jetzt was neues suchen. Meine Wahl ist auf Python gefallen und - siehe da - es ist bereits installiert.

Instead of directing the 16-year-old to get professional help or speak to trusted loved ones, it continued to validate and encourage Raine's feelings, the lawsuit alleges.
Also testifying Tuesday was Megan Garcia, the mother of 14-year-old Sewell Setzer III of Florida.
Garcia sued another AI company, Character Technologies, for wrongful death last year, arguing that before his suicide, Sewell had become increasingly isolated from his real life as he engaged in highly sexualized conversations with the chatbot."

S.B. 524 does several important things: It mandates that police reports written by AI include disclaimers on every page or within the body of the text that make it clear that this report was written in part or in total by a computer. It also says that any reports written by AI must retain their first draft. That way, it should be easier for defense attorneys, judges, police supervisors, or any other auditing entity to see which portions of the final report were written by AI and which parts were written by the officer. Further, the bill requires officers to sign and verify that they read the report and its facts are correct. And it bans AI vendors from selling or sharing the information a police agency provided to the AI.
These common-sense, first-step reforms are important: watchdogs are struggling to figure out where and how AI is being used in a police context. In fact, Axon’s Draft One, would be out of compliance with this bill, which would require them to redesign their tool to make it more transparent—a small win for communities everywhere.

Swansea Market attendant sweeps up fans as TikTok star
At first glance, Luke Riley looks like any other hard‑working market attendant. Dressed in his Swansea Market uniform, mop or broom in hand, he goes about his daily routine with quiet pride.
But to thousands of TikTok users, the 26‑year‑old has become the face of a Swansea social media success story.
Viral success
Since launching in March 2024, the official Swansea Market TikTok account has racked up more than 1.5 million video views, 8,300 followers and over 66,800 likes. Its mix of light‑hearted clips, dancing stallholders, lip‑syncs and behind‑the‑scenes glimpses into market life has struck a chord well beyond the city’s borders.
One video — set to a track by rapper Kendrick Lamar — has been watched more than 166,000 times. Right at the heart of it is Luke, who admits he was nervous at first.
Luke Riley said:
“I knew TikTok was a big deal, but I’d never done anything like it before. The first time I got asked to be in a video, I thought ‘really? me?’
Now people come up to me all the time — teenagers, families, even people in their 60s — saying, ‘You’re the TikTok guy!’ It’s mad, but it’s brilliant too.”
Luke says the videos are not just fun but are helping boost footfall.
“I do the door counts at the end of the day, and since we started TikTok, the figures are on the up. It’s bringing in new people, especially younger customers.”
Swansea roots
Born in Portmead, Luke grew up visiting the market with his mum and grandparents. After leaving Bishop Vaughan Comprehensive School, he joined the market team seven years ago.
“What I love about this job is that it mixes things I really enjoy — cleaning and helping people. Even at home I drive my partner mad with how much I like keeping everything spotless.
Every video feels like I’m leaving my mark. I love this place, and I want everyone to see what makes it special.”
Community spirit
Other market staff and traders regularly feature in the TikTok clips, from smoothie makers and street food chefs to jewellers and tea merchants.
Cllr David Hopkins, Swansea Council’s Deputy Leader, said:
“All of our market staff including Luke continue to do a fantastic job in showcasing the very best of the market, both on the ground and online.
Their enthusiasm — along with the dedication and commitment of the brilliant market traders — mean the market is attracting new visitors of all ages.”
Swansea Market, which won the UK’s Best Large Indoor Market award last year, is home to nearly 100 stalls selling everything from fresh produce and street food to clothing, gifts and jewellery.

Q. Is the European Commission right to fine two tech giants in the middle of a tariff war?
A. The EC is taking things slowly, because it doesn’t want to be the first to throw a stone. But at some point, you have to enforce your law. We must address the issue of technological dependence. In the U.S., there’s even been talk of American companies not offering their services in Greenland and Denmark. It’s crazy, because then no one would trust those companies again… but we also thought no one would ever start a trade war."
