ABC suspended #Kimmel after major ABC-affiliated station owners #Nexstar & #Sinclair said they would pull Kimmel’s show off the air (at the many stations they own).
Interestingly, both Nexstar & Sinclair need the FCC’s approval for their expansive business operations. And to complete a $6.2 billion merger with Tegna, Nexstar even needs the #FCC to change the rules so it can own a greater majority of stations than is currently allowed.
The FCC is under the #Trump admin’s rule.
