On algogen and trying to with sign-up applications. This is something I’ve noticed more and more at f.ink too, and I’ve been fooled a couple of times. (Mastodon keeps a note of the text you used as your account application in the backend, incidentally, so yes as an admin I can see what spambots wrote that fooled me enough to manually approve them.)
It does suck because I 100% know I’ve rejected really real human beings who would’ve been great community members. But, like. I only have a very blunt instrument to be able to tell who is a who versus a what. And, well. This is where we’re at with it.

I had been using atuin scripts for a few weeks now, but it became annoying to deal with.
The main pain points I solved here:
- I can use argparse to read parameters — no need to write Jinja.
- I get syntax highlighting since scripts have a proper file extension.

Ich bin jetzt zwei Tage von Frohnau nach #Berlin Mitte mit dem #Fahrrad gependelt. Die Infrastruktur ist zwar echt immer noch ein Mix zwischen ganz okay und absoluter Grütze, gepaart mit ganz viel "nur kurz beim Bäcker" Deppen, aber dafür hatte ich quasi keine Engüberholer oder Leute die mich sonstwie abfucken wollen, von denen es in der #Schweiz viel zu viele gibt. I guess that's something. 🤷♀️ Und zeigt wie wichtig das Abstandsgesetz ist - macht es endlich, Schweiz!

Hmm, I'm seeing quote toots in my timeline, multiply nested ones even. It looks worse than I thought it would. I've changed my mind and turning off letting my posts be quoted. At least for now.
BTW I had it set to "Followers only" before, but when I went into preferences I saw that it had been reset back to "Anyone"! So you should go back and double check your settings to make sure it's how you want it.
