GitHub announces support for stacked PRs. As in, they built an extra abstraction on top of PRs because people keep insisting that squash merging is a good idea. PR is the new commit. Stack of PRs is the new pull request. A bit mad if you ask me. All we really needed was:
∙ review PRs commit by commit
∙ approve/request-changes on individual commits
∙ maybe merge the first few approved commits from a PR and keep the rest as work-in-progress
But anyway, this stacked PRs madness is better than nothing I guess? Corpos doing squash merging aren't going anywhere. Might as well make ourselves comfortable.

That sounds like an excellent "rule of thumb". I didn't know if you were referring to 1,000, 10,000 or 50,00. Now I have a very good clue. I am very interested in working with #Moodle on low powered devices such as #MoodleBox, i.e. on the #RaspberryPi so that might give me a good platform to experiment.
I am not going to build that AI Visualisaion thing but I am very interesed in general performance issues.

Továbbra is ezt a Mastodon szervert tudom mondani példának: kevés volt az 500 karakter, és amúgy is, szerettem volna, ha a saját dolgaimat én kezelem.
Jelenleg 5000 karakter limit a szerveremen. Ha netán ez is kevés lenne, akkor feljebb megy. Ha mást szeretnék átállítani, akkor mást fogok átállítani.

@TimothyRoes I have more or less blackmailed people to join, simply by leaving #WhatApp long ago. When Suckerberg bought it, that was my cue.
At that time they had the choice to keep in contact via Signal, SMS or e-mail, or not at all. I lost many connections there, but not the really important ones: the people that found it worthwhile to keep in touch.
Matrix is trickier, especially if you already "forced" people to Signal before...
But then, news items about governments starting to use #Matrix should help people understand that maybe it's the future.

I recently picked up some parts from the 90’s and ordered a bountiful amout of blue appendages. I knew that the blue would definitely be a perfect way to create some classic space abomination. I have recently been on a stint for creating these sentinel things and I knew when I acquired those parts what my next build would be. I want to expand on this corrupted space idea as well. I sure wish that #Mastodon could just add that little "Hide" button to turn off the picture that comes with a link to a news site.
I mean it's already there for attached pics, why can't it also be on the article links? Sometimes you just don't want to see pics of a certain person all through your feed, but don't mind seeing the articles/headlines.
Seems like a low-effort feature add. The UI elements are already clear.
