My 7 day mourning period has passed (starting 2026, April 10th at 5:00 pm PST) I still plan to make a tribute post, but I am not ready yet today. Time went by too fast when I wasn't kept up to date with the world, although I did break my no negativity rule about 40 times, and was partially aware of what is going on in Ukraine, Iran, and Lebanon, but not the other 24 conflicts. All 27 conflicts resumed full coverage on 2026, April 10th.
It took me a while to get back to Mastodon, due to how thrown off my schedule has become lately. I got caught back up on my Mastodon feed today at 4:57 pm (2026, April 14th) It took well over an hour. I may not post as often for a while, but I have plenty of boost-able posts stocked up (40 are currently stocked up, which I will spread out over several days (at least 1 week)) It may take a while for a tribute post to be created. This will be my only Mastodon post today.

Magit is what has kept me sane using git all these years.
Interactive rebases, squashes, fix ups, hunk selection were comfy and fluent; experience is polished.
Also, Magit created a whole new cluster of UI interfaces. Transient is a thing!

自分の着手も遅かったけど、さくらインターネットで2GのVPSに在庫がなかった状況もあった。迷った揚げ句、1GのVPSをおさえて見切り発車する判断もした。
おひとりさまなら、1Gでもギリギリ動いていたと記憶。チューニング次第で、十分実用的なサーバーにはなってただろうと。
Mastodonに必要なサーバーのスペックに関して、まだ情報が少なかった様にも思う。
自鯖の構築が落ち着いたちょうどその頃に、きゅあったー（キュアスタ！の前身）がプリキュア界隈の有名人に紹介されたのだったかな。

Here’s something I didn’t anticipate from being on #Mastodon: my #writing has changed. For starters, it’s back—especially when it comes from a place of joy. There’s a sense of confidence now, even a bit of pride in those brief fragments, to the point where I’m tempted to turn them into a #zine. Maybe that’s getting ahead of myself, but the rest feels certain. The absence of the usual voracity and hostility here carries a kind of healing I never expected.

Only 2 more days before I can enable #Bluesky bridging over here to the #fediverse @SarahFrumento so I can focus on this platform more. I am sure I will have to ask @chris a bunch of questions and other fellow users more on how to try and move more away from the dark side of #socialmedia That being said, I have yet to find any IRL connections on places like here or Bluesky that I do on FB for my outdoor pursuits. No pattern of discernable cohesion, a random location of crappy lighting and way too much noise, I was wearing a flight suit and a bulky winter coat and gloves, on the floor leaning up against or into some female as apparently she was cuddling or holding me up, I don't have a clue, we where playing video games using packages from like action figures as the controllers and there was no screen but the game was live where the cartoonish game was being played out in real time in the same space, and random people were giving me gifts, mostly toys which was really weird as they all could tell I was an adult, anyways one weird ass dream; On a side note, at least I got a break from the dream where I was speeding through random buildings in a plymouth horizon as I was trying to find a way out, that dream is just freaking weird, some massive under grade airport, the roads run in the sky, and these buildings that somehow you end up getting stuck in, and it is constantly evening, with some parts that are wet like it just rained, but you never see the rain, and on occasion you find yourself out of the car but on some janky dirt bike running through random stores and offices filled with people that never even notice you, as if it is totally normal; Those are somewhat better than the horrors I normally have that although I can vividly see them in my waking life, defies language to describe them; the worst thing about most of my dreams is they don't end when I wake up they keep going, as if I am in a constant state of rem, and if I lose focus on my waking life they become front and center even as my eyes are open, heck even if I am walking around outside or say mowing the grass, then when I go to bed they are still right there moving along, and way to often I will end up in some weird crossovers, where many of my dreams will intertwine, yea I have pretty messed up dream state, but then again my brain is wired much differently than the average human;
