Xint Code disclosed CopyFail (CVE-2026-31431) Wednesday. A logic bug in algif_aead, the kernel's crypto socket layer, from a 2017 in-place optimization. Nine years on every major Linux distribution. The exploit is 732 bytes of Python. No offsets, no race window. Static analysis missed it. Fuzzing missed it. AI-assisted review caught it. Rust would not have, this is logic, not memory. Persistent Service Guard
A robust, lightweight Bash-based watchdog script designed to monitor and automatically restart background services (such as Friendica daemons or Jetstream workers) for PHP-based applications.
⚠️ Maintenance Notice
This project is provided "as-is" for educational and personal use.
It will not be maintained or updated.
No support or bug fixes will be provided.
Use at your own risk.
🚀 What It Does
The Service Guard addresses the common issue where background processes or daemons on shared or private hosting may crash or be killed by the system.
Active Monitoring: It loops indefinitely, checking the status of defined services every 60 seconds.
Automatic Recovery: If a service is reported as "not running," the script immediately attempts to restart it.
Logging: Every check, failure, and restart attempt is timestamped and recorded for auditing.
🛠 Setup & Usage
1. Configuration
Before running, ensure the following variables in guard.sh match your environment:
SITE_ROOT: The absolute path to your application root.
PHP_CLI: The path to the PHP binary (e.g., /usr/bin/php).
SERVICES: The names of the services to monitor (e.g., "daemon" "jetstream").
2. Permissions
Grant execution rights to the script:

Run the script in the background to ensure it persists after your session ends:

I had a person inform me that they support Facebook claiming they got the best security in the industry. But, yet they let hackers and cloners run on their infrastructure unimpeded while preventing legal owners of accounts from regaining access and suspending access to make a new accounts because you claim they violated your ToS. You won’t do the right thing, even after validating their Drivers License. That’s real security right there!!

Ziel war nicht Theorie, sondern direkte Umsetzbarkeit für den Alltag:
✅ Technik: #FritzBox -Zeiten setzen, #PlayStation absichern, #InAppKäufe sperren.
✅ Verstehen: Wie #Algorithmen bei #TikTok & #Snapchat abhängig machen und schleichend zu #Radikalisierung führen kann.
✅ Konflikt: #Deeskalation bei Wutanfällen, #PeerDruck (z.B. #GTA) und Suchtverhalten.
Das Fazit war klar: #Begleitung statt #Kontrolle. Der beste Schutz ist das offene Gespräch, nicht das Verbot. 🛡️

Yo de curioso como siempre, acabo de conocer Calculate Linux. Es una distro basada en Gentoo pero con paquetes binarios, la cual te da toda la potencia de Portage sin tener que compilar por horas.
Para mí es el equilibrio perfecto: tienes el rendimiento de un Ferrari listo para rodar, con la ventaja de usar una tienda de apps pero manteniendo esa optimización extrema de Gentoo. ¡Una joyita para los que buscamos velocidad real! 🚀💻
