Pixelfed home feed is ass. There, I said it. If I follow things I'm interested (hashtags), it has zero effect on the feed. The home feed shows those you have followed exclusively. Nowhere is there any option to access the tags you follow, only the option to go to those pages and follow or unfollow. I said this before but Pixelfed is just going through the motions of playing nice with Mastodon / the fediverse. It's almost like they think we won't notice. If Mastodon improves it's photo curation, I'll be glad. There's little reason to be using multiple instances. I just want to pick one that's working and dig my heels in finally.

Контекст: веду контент-маркетинг для агентства разработки чат-ботов BotKraft, статьи под Яндекс Нейро. Веб-Wordstat для такого объёма не вариант - копировать вручную из таблички полдня. Direct API - слишком дорогой вход: нужен рекламный аккаунт, отдельный OAuth, у меня этого не было и заводить ради одного метода не хотелось. Случайно полез в новые сервисы Yandex Cloud AI Studio (там сейчас живёт YandexGPT) и обнаружил, что Wordstat теперь есть в Search API v2 - отдельным сервисом без зависимости от Direct. Доступ - обычный API-ключ из AI Studio, тот же что и для YandexGPT. По сути в один клик получаешь ещё и доступ к семантике. Подключал, по дороге собрал коллекцию граблей. Этим и поделюсь.

That's the thingy I talked about yesterday, a little CLI tool to check an RSS feed and toot on Mastodon / GoToSocial if it detects a new blog post.
It's nothing you haven't seen before, a tool tailored to my exact use case, but I'm proud of it.
Right now it asks for confirmation before sending a toot, so you can't really script it, but I'll add a config option to change that soon.
I've decided for myself that I'm going to use this as my "victory lap" once I'm done writing a post, so I'm not gonna put it in a script. But I can imagine that other people might want to do so.
Also... no tests, because YOLO! 😅
Well, that and I'm lazy. I'll get to them eventually, but it was much more fun testing it against my GoToSocial instance.
