They have forced them to pay fines & to follow rules. That's why I chose an instance based in Germany. I don't read German, but I LIKE that it follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) #GDPR & Bundesdatenschutzgesetz – #BDSG (which I just learned how to pronounce, thanks to tech!)

"Linux Mint’s next release won’t be until Christmas 2026
Linux Mint has confirmed it is switching to a longer development cycle, in order to give the team more time to ‘fix bugs and improve the desktop’.
As a result, the Linux Mint 23 release is now slated to launch in December 2026. It will, among other planned changes, use the same installer as LMDE (Linux Mint Debian Edition) as this offers better OEM install, SecureBoot and LVM/LUKS support.
Project lead Clement Lefebvre intimated that upending the distro’s standard twice-yearly release model was needed in February, noting that “…one of our strengths is that we’re doing things incrementally and changing things slowly”."

Aim is to message YouTube users somehow without making an account directly myself and make contact somehow... via others.
Can anyone think of ideas or 'bridge'so I can simply message #Google / #YouTube creators something (and avoid making a crap #google account and crap with it - but just send them a message in some indirect way)...
A bit like #Invidious let's you watch videos without ever using needing to go directly to youtube.com

I've imported a profile using the Profile Importer, which reads an existing website using h-resume #microformat tags. The imported account is already visible in #Mastodon.
Follow and FollowUndo activities can already be received, though it doesn't mean anything yet. The plumbing is there.
