@gabboman I decided to hack on this the past few nights, and came up with an experimental, backwards-compatible implementation that I created a draft pull request for @peertube/http-signature. I tried to follow the library’s coding style of the original as much as possible.
The idea of backwards-compatibility is that you can drop this into an existing application and nothing will break. There are deprecation messages that may surface in logs to guide changing from using the function exports to the cavage12Draft export (and the rfc9421 export).

I've tried Tusky and Fedilab for Masto. Neither is terrible but like, both have probs that mean I have to use both.
Tusky:
- No quote support (still)
- Doesn't find all replies
- Emoji support weird
Fedilab:
- Can't load comments in long reply chain
- Refresh doesn't always work
- Hard to follow complex convos

I've run in to a stumbling block.
My Inventory system (cribbed from DevLogLogan) uses Custom Resources to define Items.
I can manually create new Items in the Inspector, but I want to create new items in code, at run time.
I can't see how to change an item without changing all instances, as it is a Resource.
I can't see how to create a new Item programmatically.
Any clues?

I BEAT THE MACHINE!
FINALLY, after years of very occasional trying and giving up, in my WordPress theme I managed to override the default CSS for the H1 entry-title class, on web pages. Now it's finally a decent size, format, and spacing.
Previously the title text was tiny, all caps, and so bold as to need Ozempic™.
I had to set my custom CSS to
!important. I suppose that's cheating, but a win by any other name smells as sweet.
