96.9% fail Core Web Vitals on mobile.
100% fail a basic accessibility check.
Only 3.1% pass all three.
The causes are not complex:

Spannendes Projekt aus der #Signal Community:
Mit „Flatline“ entsteht ein selbst hostbarer Soft-Fork des Signal-Servers. Ziel ist es, mehr Kontrolle über die Infrastruktur zu bekommen – etwa durch Accounts ohne Telefonnummer oder eigene Serverinstanzen.
Das klingt erstmal nach mehr Freiheit, wirft aber auch Fragen auf: Signal setzt bewusst auf zentrale Kontrolle, um Missbrauch zu verhindern und die Sicherheit zu garantieren. Ein eigener Server bedeutet also auch, sich selbst um Themen wie Spam-Schutz, Metadaten und Updates zu kümmern.
Im Vergleich zu #Matrix fehlt aktuell die Föderation, und eine direkte Verbindung zum offiziellen Signal-Netzwerk ist eher unwahrscheinlich.

Kwiecień obfituje u mnie w wiele zaskakujących wydarzeń i zawodowych wyzwań. Ostatnio otrzymałam od mojego szefa bardzo nietypowe zadanie: sporządzić ankietę satysfakcji pracowników działu produkcyjnego. Chociaż pracuję w przemyśle meblarskim, nigdy nie byłam na hali. Była to dla mnie nowa i naprawdę fascynująca przygoda, choć przyznam szczerze – odrobinę stresująca. Zadawałam sobie pytanie, czy dam radę sprostać tak odpowiedzialnemu projektowi. Dziś jednak mogę z dumą powiedzieć, że dowiozłam ten projekt na naprawdę wysokim poziomie, a moja satysfakcja z dobrze wykonanej pracy jest ogromna. Na co dzień pracuję w obszarze administracji i wsparcia HR. Od pewnego czasu moją zawodową pasją stało się wgłębianie w raporty konkurencji. Przeszukuję różne bilanse, sprawdzam kondycję finansową spółek i analizuję dane, które dla większości są tylko nudnymi tabelkami. Jednak to właśnie tam kryje się prawdziwa prawda o tym, jak zarządzane są polskie firmy. Ostatnio, przeklikując się przez szczegółowy raport jednej z marek, natrafiłam na dane i wykresy, które dosłownie wbiły mnie w fotel (jestem po ekonomiku, rozumiem te dane). Z racji przepisów, w tym RODO, nie mogę podać nazwy tej firmy ani linków do źródeł. Potraktujcie to jako kazus fikcyjnej firmy X, która jednak istnieje realnie, jakimś cudem działa, ma dokładnie takie dane, jakie Wam przytoczę. To, co odkryłam, poruszyło mnie nie tylko jako pracownika, ale i jako człowieka. Właśnie dlatego postanowiłam o tym napisać.
Anatomia „biznesowej wydmuszki”
Kiedy zaczynałam naukę w moim „Ekonomiku”, charyzmatyczna pani prawnik powtarzała nam: Ignorantia iuris nocet – nieznajomość prawa szkodzi. Wtedy to była teoria. Dzisiaj, patrząc na bilans firmy X za rok 2024, widzę, jak ta maksyma materializuje się w najgorszy możliwy sposób. To, co zobaczyłam w zakładkach finansowych, to po prostu miazga: Przychody netto: blisko 14 milionów złotych. Brzmi dumnie? Pozornie. Zysk netto: minus 935 000 zł. Firma przepala prawie milion złotych rocznie więcej, niż zarabia. Kredyt kupiecki: na poziomie 26%. Firma de facto żyje na koszt swoich dostawców. Koszty operacyjne: 14 milionów, z czego aż 57% to kwoty, które „wyparowują” poza wynagrodzeniami i bezpośrednimi inwestycjami. Podczas gdy „Góra” korzysta z luksusów, finansując sobie co roku egzotyczne wyjazdy (np. na Fidżi), firma dryfuje w stronę finansowej przepaści. Najbardziej uderzyło mnie jednak to, jak ta konkretna firma traktuje ludzi. Najcenniejszy skarb normalnie prosperującego przedsiębiorcy. Młodzi, zdolni specjaliści słyszą tam sakramentalne: „Bardzo nam przykro, mamy limit etatów na ten rok, możemy zaproponować tylko umowę zlecenie”. Jako osoba, która właśnie dowiozła projekt ankiet satysfakcji i siedzi w prawie pracy, muszę to nazwać wprost – bez owijania w bawełnę: to nie jest polityka firmy. To świadome przekroczenie prawa pracownika.
Nadużycie Art. 22¹ KP: Firma zbiera dane o wykształceniu i karierze jak do etatu, ale odmawia ochrony kodeksowej.
Ignorowanie Art. 22 § 1¹ KP: Jeśli praca odbywa się pod nadzorem, w miejscu i czasie wyznaczonym przez szefa – to JEST to stosunek pracy. Wewnętrzny „limit” budżetowy nie ma żadnej mocy prawnej przed sądem czy Inspekcją Pracy.
DLACZEGO O TYM PISZĘ?
Bo korporacja Layerfall (nazwa fikcyjna) uprawia prawniczy hazard. Za zastępowanie umów o pracę „śmieciówkami” grozi kara do 30 000 PLN za każdy ujawniony i udokumentowany przypadek (Art. 281 KP). Przy stracie rzędu miliona złotych, jedna rzetelna kontrola PIP to dla nich koniec. Piszę to, bo wychowano mnie w etosie pracy oraz poszanowaniu prawa (które chroni tych, którzy je znają). Moja pani prawnik z ekonomika byłaby dumna, wiedząc, że te lekcje pomogły mi dziś przejrzeć mechanizm wyzysku w tejże spółce. Praca powinna być budowana na etyce oraz twardych danych, a nie na długu u pracowników i mydleniu im oczu rzekomymi „limitami”.Layerfall obraca dużymi kwotami, ale jej zarządzanie jest po prostu fatalne. Pokazałam nawet te dane mężowi mówiąc: ,,tylko zobacz, kochanie: trafiłam na firmę, która ma świetny PR, ale uprawia technologiczny feudalizm”. Ślubny popatrzył, pokiwał głową i rzekł: ,,to mnie wcale nie dziwi – polscy pracodawcy zawsze traktowali pracownika jak tanią siłę roboczą”. Przytaknęłam. To smutne, że polskie firmy postrzegają swoich pracowników jako koszt. Wiem, w bilansie tak to wygląda. Ale to właśnie dzięki tym ,,kosztom o wysokich kompetencjach” biznes się kręci.
A Wy? Sprawdzacie czasem bilanse swoich pracodawców?
Czy wierzycie na słowo, gdy słyszycie, że „nie ma budżetu na etaty (lub premie)?

Are there any people Godot savvy over here? Especially those who deploy for android. My app creates a couple of files: Some are PNGs, some are JSONS. Whenever I unistall de app and reinstall - or install an update - the app can see the PNGs it has created but not the JSONS, even tho the files are there. I suspect it has something to do with what files are owned by what applications on the shared space and anything that ain't an image can only by seen by the "owner app".

In technical news, any arbitrary terminal command can now instantly be turned into a streaming output, which provides a consistent, instantly reusable way to put live outputs into the UI.
All that's needed is to conform any Observable object to my new `TerminalOutputStreamable` protocol, and it does the rest
Gone are the days where I had to painfully reimplement this feature for any new output. What took days now takes minutes
And most importantly, NO AI WAS USED

Some tech stuff is painful enough to “learn” it once and just keep reusing the same code/patterns over and over for years.
This is to say I added some new #SwiftData stuff to my app today, adding some fairly trivial schema migrations.
It’s just too tedious to search for improvements or better ways to do things. It works, but as with many #SwiftUI things it does not leave one feeling overly confident.
