Hackathon.lu 2026, held in Luxembourg on 14–15 April 2026, once again showed what makes this event special: it is not just a place to present ideas, but a place where ideas turn into code, releases, integrations, datasets, pull requests, and concrete roadmaps.
Looking across the all project updates, the overall picture is clear. This year’s edition produced more than thirty concrete project outcome threads, spanning threat intelligence, malware analysis, detection engineering, vulnerability intelligence, graph exploration, forensics, and infrastructure.
Some teams shipped releases on the spot.
Others used the two days to validate designs, harden code, identify weaknesses, or connect previously separate tools into more useful workflows.
The result is a hackathon that delivered not only new features, but also better interoperability across the open-source cybersecurity ecosystem.

Pro tip if you're still working on Github. If you're experiencing slow clone/pull speeds, stop and retry multiple times. For some reasons eventually my clone speed goes from 15 Kb/s to 10 Mb/s just by retrying 3-5 times.

How can people use #YouTube without @ublockorigin or paying for it?
I just tried to watch an assay via Tor Browser. 5 minutes 20 seconds into the video I had to view 2 pre video advertisements and 2 advertisements after 2 minutes 30 seconds and 2 advertisements after 5 minutes.
Now I do not want to watch YouTube anymore. I feel that I watched as many minutes/seconds advertisements as I watched wanted content.

So, I found a series of #github projects turning #writing (Markdown) into #books and various other formats (#epub, #pdf, etc) for mass consumption.
When I found the repos the project was kind of broken and so I ported it from Ruby to Python with some additions and it's been working so far. Is this something the #writingcommunity would find of interest? If so, is there a #FediGit ? Or some #git repository that people use in fedi land that isn't GitHub or Codeberg?
