I'm making quite a bold statement here.
Due to my past frustrations with Godot, I've decided I fully rewrite Number Battle™ in Rust (from scratch) using Bevy engine.
Number Battle™'s initial concept involved being flexible and modular, and ECS fits it better than OOP. And with Bevy and Rust, distributing Number Battle™ on Linux might be way easier than with Godot.
A new era has begun. The old builds will still be up until MVP release.

Es gibt mehr als 60’000 Plug-ins für Wordpress im offiziellen Verzeichnis und noch einmal eine geballte Ladung auf unabhängigen Marktplätzen wie codecanyon.net. Deckt dieses Angebot nicht jedes erdenkliche Bedürfnis ab?
Nein, natürlich nicht. Wer keine 0815-Website betreibt, der kommt unweigerlich zu dem Punkt, an dem er gewisse Dinge tun möchte, die mit den Standardfunktionen nicht möglich sind und für die kein passendes Drittprodukt existiert. Früher hatte man die Wahl, selbst Hand an die Installation zu legen, einen Profi zu engagieren oder mit der Einschränkung zu leben. Heute gibt es die KI.
Dank Gemini und ChatGPT brachte ich dem CMS bei, auf meinem Blog vernünftige Bildlegenden anzuzeigen. Das war ein riskantes Unterfangen, bei dem ich Hand an die functions-Datei legen musste. Das ist nicht jedermanns oder jederfraus Sache. Darum heute zwei niederschwellige Beispiele.
- Der erste Kniff vereinfacht mir die Administration meiner geplanten Blogposts massiv.
- Beim zweiten Trick geht es darum, den Wordpress-Editor mit einem Knopf zu ergänzen, der automatisch Anpassungen an einem Beitrag oder Beitragsentwurf vornimmt, die ich früher manuell machen musste.
Die Vorgehensweise ist unkompliziert, ungefährlich und einfach auf andere Anwendungsfälle adaptierbar. Darum soll sie hier als Beispiel dienen, das euch im Idealfall dazu inspiriert, eine eigene Arbeitserleichterung in Wordpress einzubauen. Sie setzt auf das Plug-in Code Snippets. Das kostet in der Vollversion satte 149 US-Dollar pro Jahr, aber für die hier vorgestellten Zwecke reicht die Gratisvariante.
Hier werden die Code Snippets verwaltet.Die beiden Scripts fabrizierte mir Google Gemini. Googles künstliche Intelligenz tat das prompt und ohne dass lange Diskussionen notwendig gewesen wären. Das sind sie:
1) Die Beitragsplanung perfektionieren
Seit jeher liegen hier im Blog relativ viele Beiträge auf Halde. Das erlaubt mir gewissermassen einen Taktfahrplan, bei dem es wochentags jeden Morgen um sechs ein neues Stück zu lesen gibt. Wie sinnvoll ein so ambitioniertes Ziel ist, wäre ein eigenes Thema. 2011 brachte mich die damalige Tagi-Rubrik Daily Digital zu dieser Arbeitsweise. Und obwohl sie mich manchmal überfordert, bringt mich der selbstauferlegte Publikationsdruck dazu, mich um Themen zu kümmern, die sich von einer reinen Notlösung zu einer echten Blog-Perle wandeln, die etwas für meine berufliche Arbeit hergeben.
Die vorproduzierten Beiträge sind in Wordpress für die Veröffentlichung aufgereiht; das ist eine Art Veröffentlichung-Pipeline. Ein neuer Beitrag kommt, wenn er nicht dringend ist, ans Ende der Liste. Wenn es die Aktualität gebietet, plane ich ihn am Anfang ein. Das hatte bisher zur Folge, dass ich die bereits aufgereihten Beiträge von Hand um einen Tag nach hinten versetzen musste.
Das Script für die Beitrags-Pipeline, das automatisch die Verteilung der anstehenden Beiträge auf die Wochentage organisiert.Das ist eine mühsame Arbeit. Doch es gibt keine Lösung von der Stange, da ich mutmasslich der einzige Mensch auf diesem Planeten bin, der so arbeitet. Aber siehe da, Gemini fabrizierte mir ein Script für Code Snippets, das die Verteilung automatisch vornimmt: Sobald ich einen Beitrag für einen Tag einplane, an dem bereits ein Beitrag vorhanden ist, wandert dieser automatisch um einen Wochentag nach hinten. Das funktioniert automatisch und ohne, dass ich einen Finger rühren müsste: Grossartig!
Als kleines Extra kommt die Erweiterung Editorial Calendar zum Einsatz: Sie zeigt die anstehenden Beiträge im Kalender an. Dort lassen sie sich per Drag & Drop umsortieren, wobei auch dann das Script im Hintergrund dafür sorgt, dass eine allfällige Lücke gemäss der Vorgabe geschlossen wird.
Der Editorial Calendar: Wenn hier Beiträge verschoben werden, schliesst das Script allfällige Lücken automatisch.Die Umsetzung dieses Projekts ist möglich, ohne dass ich selbst eine Zeile Code schreiben müsste. Die einzige Voraussetzung ist, das Anliegen ausreichend präzise zu beschreiben, damit das Vibe-Coding greift.
Also: Gemini ist mit der Code Snippets-Erweiterung vertraut und generiert auf Anfrage gerne Quellcode für dieses Werkzeug. Den zu verwenden, ist keine Hexerei. Nach der Installation des Plug-ins klicken wir im Backend von Wordpress in der Menüleiste links auf Snippets, dann auf Neu hinzufügen. Wir vergeben oben im Titelfeld einen Namen, stellen sicher, dass im Feld rechts daneben PHP ausgewählt ist, und kopieren den Text bei Snippet Content ein. Rechts bei Location ändern wir die Einstellung von Run everywhere auf Nur im Administrationsbereich ausführen ab. Darunter vergeben wir, falls gewünscht, eine Beschreibung und Stichworte.
Die vorhandenen Schnipsel werden über Snippets > Alle Snippets bearbeitet. Weitere Fragen beantwortet Gemini gerne.
Idee für die Version 2.0: Die Möglichkeit, einzelne Beiträge vom Automatismus auszuschliessen, damit die sich separat fix einplanen lassen.
2) Deklaration der Amazon-Affiliate-Links
Dieses zweite Beispiel zeigt, wie wir per Knopfdruck Änderungen an einem Blogpost vornehmen. Mit der Methode lassen sich mittels Suchen-Ersetzen Textelemente oder Formatierungsanweisungen abändern, Elemente einfügen oder auch entfernen. Diese Methode hier eignet sich, wenn wir die Änderungen gezielt für einzelne Beiträge vornehmen möchten. Für Anpassungen im grossen Stil, die in einem Rutsch für alle gespeicherten Blogposts vorgenommen werden sollen, empfehle ich das bewährte Plug-in Search Regex.
Seit gut zehn Jahren nehme ich am Amazon-Affiliate-Programm teil (warum ich das tue und was es einbringt). Mir ist es wichtig, die entsprechenden Links zu markieren; doch anfänglich machte ich das nicht systematisch. Als schnelle Lösung statte ich Links zu Amazon via CSS mit einem entsprechenden Hinweis aus (hier ein Beispiel). Bei Beiträgen mit vielen Amazon-Links ist diese Lösung hässlich. Darum verwende ich ein Script, das die Links entsprechend markiert und am Ende des Beitrags einen Hinweis auf Amazon einfügt (das sieht so aus).
Das Script, das die Amazon-Affiliate-Links konsolidiert.Früher nahm ich diese Änderung über den Editor Notepad++ vor. Er führt Python-Scripte aus, die mir dank regulärer Ausdrücke und simplen Befehlen seit Jahren eine grosse Hilfe sind. Trotzdem musste ich den Beitrag von Wordpress in den Editor copy-pasten, dort bearbeiten und zurück verfrachten. Gemini passte meinen Python-Code für das Code Snippets-Plug-in an – aber selbstverständlich wäre es keine Hexerei für Googles künstliche Intelligenz, diese Automatisierung anhand einer präzisen Beschreibung von Grund auf neu zu erstellen.
Das Script erscheint im Wordpress-Editor (ich verwende die klassische Variante) in einem Bereich, der Amazon Tools heisst. Es gibt dort den Knopf Amazon-Fix anwenden, der die Änderungen automatisch vornimmt und den Beitrag sogleich neu speichert. Dieser Eingriff ist in Sekunden erledigt und lässt sich auch vom Handy aus initiieren.
