In einem Brief an Cem Özdemir von den Grünen und Manuel Hagel von der CDU sowie deren Verhandlungsteams weist die Organisation „Internationale Ärzt*innen für die Verhütung des Atomkrieges“, kurz IPPNW, auf die drohenden Atomgefahren aus der Schweiz für Baden-Württemberg hin.
Die IPPNW fordert, auch anlässlich des 40. Jahrestages der Atomkatastrophe von Tschernobyl, von der künftigen Landesregierung, sich gegenüber der Schweiz und der Bundesregierung für ein baldiges Ende der Schweizer Atomanlagen einzusetzen.
Über den Brief der IPPNW an die (künftige) @RegierungBW in Stuttgart, die atomaren Risiken und was diese mit politischer Verantwortung zu tun haben, sprach ich heute für @RDL mit Dr. Jörg Schmid von den IPPNW.

interesting observation (and perhaps an application flaw?)
I have recently bought Pixel 10 & installed GrapheneOS on it. then backed up data on my old Pixel 6 (also with GrapheneOS), including data, and transfered to Pixel 10.
while for banking apps, messengers etc. I had to log in again or transfer from old phone using app's provided functionality (e.g in Signal or WhatsApp), Tusky... kept both my accounts logged in. didn't even ask for 2FA.

Ich bin hier schon lange einen "Schritt weiter" gegangen, und hoste seit mittlerweile 25 Jahren meinen Mailserver für privat und Unternehmen/Beruf selbst, und habe damit absolut keine Probleme.
Seit dieser Zeit arbeite ich sowohl privat als auch im Unternehmen ebenfalls fast ausschliesslich auf #Linux und anderen #OpenSource Produkten.
Angefangen hat es bei mir mit dem Ersatz von MS Office; ich bin um die Jahrtausendwende auf #StarOffice umgestiegen (welches ich davor schon unter #DOS genutzt hatte).

In America there is zero dialogue about any sort of government policies/oversight how AI is being used and or is supposed to be used.
If I as an lobbyist or state like Israel wanted to push some policy through, in the #USA or election of some candidate there, I can just pay X, to have Grok deliver the required response ( these platforms need to fund themselves ) based on psychological human behavioral research much like Google gets paid for delivering specific search results.

If you are a ham radio operator, you know that a HamClock is the ultimate shack companion. But what if you want to move beyond a dedicated small screen and integrate that data-rich display into a professional digital signage environment?
By using PiSignage, you can rotate your HamClock with other station metrics, weather, or club announcements. However, getting a clean, secure, and “pop-up free” experience requires a few tricks.
In this post, I’ll show you how to deploy OpenHamClock using Docker and how to strip away the UI clutter for a seamless kiosk experience.
The Setup
To follow along, you will need a PiSignage server instance. I personally run mine as a Docker container, which keeps the server stack isolated and easy to back up.
1. The Docker Compose Configuration
PiSignage and modern browsers often require secure contexts (HTTPS) for certain features. Since the standard HamClock output is HTTP, we’ll use a two-service setup: the clock itself and a lightweight SSL-wrap sidecar using socat and openssl.

Silencing the “What’s New” Pop-ups
When using HamClock as a signage element, you want it to be “set and forget.” The “What’s New” slide-ins are helpful for desktop users but ruin a clean kiosk display.
While there is a formal change request pending for a toggle, you can currently “force” these elements to stay hidden by injecting a bit of CSS directly into the distribution files. Run this command within your app environment:

3. Setting Up the Slide in PiSignage
Once your containers are humming along, you need to tell PiSignage how to display the clock.
Create the Weblink Asset
- Log in to your PiSignage Admin Panel.
- Navigate to Assets > Add > Weblink.
- Fill in the details:
- Name: OpenHamClock
- Link Address:
https://<YOUR-HOSTNAME>:3000/?kiosk=true
- Click Save.
Pro Tip: The
?kiosk=truesuffix is critical. It tells HamClock to hide its own internal menus and headers, giving you a dedicated, high-contrast dashboard perfect for a wall-mounted display.
Deploy to Your Player
- Go to Playlists and add your new “OpenHamClock” asset.
- Set the Duration: Set this to
0for a permanent display, or a high number (like300for 5 minutes) if it’s part of a rotation. - Go to Groups, select your player, and deploy the playlist.
Your screen should refresh and show a beautiful, clean HamClock interface within seconds!
Running PiSignage in Docker?
For those of you looking to keep your entire server stack contained, running the PiSignage central server in Docker is the way to go. It keeps your host OS clean and makes management a breeze.

The Shared Library Trap
You launch a program and get error while loading shared libraries: libxml2.so.16 or similar. I have seen many of those lately on Reddit.
You know something is missing, but you have no idea which package owns that specific file.
Simply run Mend. It will find it and offers to install it immediately. Don't reboot into a black screen; fix the dependency while the terminal is still open.

W jednym z ostatnich artykułów przypomnieliśmy, że nasza redakcja jest najbardziej aktywna na Twitterze. Część z Was zwróciła uwagę, że na Twittera nie zagląda i zasugerowała, aby publikować tu, na Niebezpieczniku, jakiś “skrót” tego o czym twitujemy. No więc oto pierwszy z takich skrótów, podsumowujący zeszły tydzień naszej aktywności na Twitterze (~40 wpisów, ~5 dziennie).
Zanim jednak do niego przejdziemy — słowo wyjaśnienia, dlaczego na Twitterze pojawiają się treści, których nie widać na Niebezpiecznik.pl.
Dlaczego Twitter?
Od zawsze staramy się, aby na Niebezpiecznika trafiały dłuższe, przemyślane i mocno merytoryczne publikacje. Bo Niebezpiecznik to serwis internetowy, a nie platforma społecznościowa. Nie każdy wpis z Twittera da się rozwinąć do tego typu formy — a na siłę nie ma sensu tego robić. Coś co może być jednym zdaniem, lepiej żeby pozostało jednym zdaniem, a nie przepełnionym miałką treścią artykułem na 15 akapitów. To pierwszy, najważniejszy powód. Drugim powodem jest to, że na Twitterze często podajemy lub “retwitujemy” dalej cudze treści bez jakiegokolwiek opisu. To zdecydowanie szybsze i mniej pracochłonne niż pełnoprawna publikacja na Niebezpieczniku.
I żeby było jasne — Twitter nie jest idealną platformą (wręcz jest bardzo nieidealną), ale ze uważamy, że jeśli chodzi o obszar IT Security, to ze wszystkich social mediów jest platformą najlepszą, jeśli chodzi o ilość i jakość wiedzy oraz prędkość jej pozyskiwania (jeśli się wie, kogo śledzić). Dlatego tych z Was, którzy zajmują się cyberbezpieczeństwem zawodowo, zachęcamy do obserwowania naszego profilu — abyście trzymali rękę na pulsie, bo to w naszej branży jest szalenie istotne.
