Richard M. Stallman y los otros (Codeberg, F-Droid) adoptan una postura sectaria y no racional. Si es proteger el software "para el usuario", entonces Polyform Shield lo protege (puede bajarlo y usarlo sin problemas). Creo que hay cosas que no nos dicen o no se explica que tajantemente se nieguen a aceptar esta licencia.
PolyForm Shield no es reconocida como una licencia de software libre porque restringe el uso del software a personas o entidades que compitan con el creador original. Para ellos, la libertad es usar el software para cualquier propósito (incluyendo competir contra el creador).

Python packaging question:
I have a package on PyPI that depends on keras. Keras can work with either jax, torch, or tensorflow, but I want to let the user in charge of which of those they install.
So, currently, keras is in my default dependencies, and I have three optional feature sets: one with each backend, which I can install with the brackets syntax.
Which means that the "plain" installation is non-functional, because it lacks a backend library.
So, I am wondering if there would be a way to make one of the backends the default one, while still keeping the possibility to not install it (and install another one instead) in case the installation is difficult on a user's machine?
I think I am thinking of something similar to Rust's default features, which are installed by default but can be not installed if requested

@mastodonmigration I’m over on #Bluesky quite a bit. No one in the feed I’ve created seems to give a damn about crypto, despite what some here on Mastodon would have me believe.
I’m still here because I believe in the potential of #Mastodon, but the truth is that some of the same trolls and tribalism can be found here as in a lot of other places.
I wonder if that undercuts arguments about how social media operates under the hood.
