Le choix de la simplicité radicale
L'outil LaSuite Docs est né d'une frustration bien connue des utilisateurs d'outils de traitement de texte traditionnels. Face à la complexité excessive et aux fonctionnalités parfois superflues de Word ou Google Docs, l'équipe de LaSuite a fait le choix de la simplicité radicale.
LaSuite Docs se distingue ainsi par sa philosophie minimaliste :
- Pas de choix de la police de caractères ;
- Pas de choix de la taille de l'interligne ou des titres ;
- Pas de pagination, d'en-tête ou de pied de page.

- Des documents imbriqués, pour créer organiser ses documents en base de connaissance ;

Les librairies open source comme socle de l'outil
Comme le souligne Virgile « Avec LaSuite Docs, nous avons fait le choix de ne pas faire de choses trop difficiles.
Nous construisons une application Django, sur laquelle est branchée l'authentification OIDC, nous gérons les permissions sur les documents, nous traitons les sous-documents et l'interface utilisateur. »
La vraie magie opère grâce à quelques librairies open source qui gèrent toute la complexité technique.
Au cœur du système, on retrouve les CRDTs (Conflict-free Replicated Data Types) - des structures de données qui permettent à plusieurs personnes de travailler simultanément sur différentes versions d'un même document et de résoudre automatiquement les conflits en temps réel.
LaSuite Docs repose sur trois librairies ouvertes :
- BlockNote, un éditeur de texte riche pour assurer l'interface utilisateur ;
- Yjs, une librairie CRDT pour gérer la synchronisation en temps réel ;
- ProseMirror, un framework sous-jacent pour l'édition de documents structurés.
« C'est assez fou que nous ayons cela en open source de nos jours », souligne Virgile.
« Il y a dix ans, il n'en aurait pas été question.
Et aujourd'hui, nous pouvons réaliser ce projet relativement simplement. »

"The K-shaping of our economy, in which the rich have both steadily and now suddenly amassed a far greater share of the nation’s income and wealth, while the working poor struggle, should be plain for all to see. As to steadily: A paper last year by UC Berkeley economists Emmanuel Saez, Gabriel Zucman, and two of their colleagues documented that between 1982 and 2025, the wealth of the 400 richest Americans rose from 2 percent of the nation’s GDP to 20 percent. As to suddenly: A separate paper by Zucman showed that the wealthiest 19 American households—not 19 percent of American households, just plain 19—increased their wealth by $1 trillion in 2024, as my colleague David Dayen reported in a piece last Friday. Meanwhile, the share of the nation’s wealth held by the bottom 50 percent of American households declined from 3.4 percent to 2.6 percent during the 35 years from 1989 to 2024, according to a report from the Institute for Policy Studies.
Unlike the aforementioned Democratic governors, corporations of all stripes understand the significance of this tectonic economic shift. Retailers certainly haven’t missed it: According to a Moody’s Analytics survey of Federal Reserve data, 30 years ago, the 10 percent of Americans with the highest incomes were responsible for 36 percent of all consumer spending, while the bottom 80 percent was responsible for 48 percent. Today, that high-income 10 percent is responsible for 49 percent of all consumer spending, while the share of consumer spending done by the bottom 80 percent has sunk to just 37 percent. Airlines understand this; they’re reshaping their cabins to provide more room for first-class and business travelers, and reducing the space for coach (which coach travelers might think is both physically and mathematically impossible) as fewer non-rich Americans can afford to fly."

Ich meine die Schuld bei der schlechten Bedienung des Systems gefunden zu haben. Am PC ist das eher kein Problem, aber zu 80% nutze ich Smartphone und Tablet mit Tastatur.
Ich versuche schon seit JAAAHREN irgendwie immer mal wieder zu wechseln. Meine „Freunde“ oder besser Netzwerkkontakte sind alle bei #Facebook oder #WhatsApp. Facebook ist der letzte Server den ich noch benutze. Twitter, WhatsApp Insta usw. Sind alle Konten schon frühzeitig gelöscht. Aber wie gesagt kann ich mich noch nicht von Facebook lösen.
So nachteilig die Filter-Probleme, Werbung usw. bei FB auch sind. Die Bedienung ist einfach und die Timeline nunmal besser lesbar. Wenn ich #Geraspora gegenüber #Friendica vergleiche, dann ist ersteres deutlich besser in der Ansicht und Bedienung. Ich wundere mich darüber, das Friendica das so weit zurückliegt.
Ich habe fast alle iOS Apps durch und bin bei der Mastrodon-App geblieben, diese ist wirklich gut und kann auch die Friendica Institution bedienen.
Die Nachteile sehe ich in der Tatsache, das ich hier so gut wie niemanden kenne und das meine Timeline komplett überlagert ist. Ich bekomme keine Ruhe und Übersichtlichkeit in dieses System…
