The #HackingLicense is not an #opensource license, nor it's intended to be one.
I don't care about #OSI #gatekeepers.
However that particular requirement (that's by far not the most heretic 😉) should be read in the context of the whole license/contract that is basically a dependency inversion applyied to #copyleft: the goal is to protect a common good from appropiation; the method is requiring (and providing) conditioned copyright assignments to the users, so that any derivative or dependent work can be used under the same license.
To sue anybody for using a work under the terms of the Hacking License, a company should first prove to the Judge exclusive ownership of the #copyright over the work. But if they used anything under the Hacking License (thus accepting its terms) they can not.
And since #hackers love recursion, the license itself (that must be distributed with any derivative and dependent work) is under the Hacking License... 😇

A few weeks ago I finally changed my #SSH key(s) on my #YubiKey(s) from the old PIV function to a #FIDO2 key using @jgoerzen 's excellent guide: https://www.complete.org/easily-using-ssh-with-fido2-u2f-hardware-security-keys/
It is so much better! It does not regularly fail, the credentials in the ssh-agent don't need re-adding on any failed auth. The flow of when I forgot the ssh-add call is so much better as you can just type the password. And while my keys are too old to support ed25519 at least it's no longer a short RSA.

Ich hatte die Tage mal wieder Lust, ein neues Theme für Friendica zu erstellen. Dabei wollte ich ein bisschen was nerdiges und hatte schon eine ziemlich genaue Vorstellung davon. 😁
Nun hatte ich ein wenig mit der bösen, bösen... KI herumgebastelt, hier und da noch etliches angepasst und herausgekommen ist das Friendica-Theme "Nerdy" für Frio.
Wieder ein dunkles Theme, ja, weil meine Augen lieber die dunklen Farben am Monitor mögen, mal sehen, vielleicht gibt es demnächst auch mal ein helles Theme von mir.
User:innen von friendica.de können das Theme ab sofort unter "Einstellungen" -> "Anzeige" -> "Erscheinungsbild" -> "Nerdy" testen, natürlich nur, wer mag. 😄
Da ich ja meine entworfenen und zusammengeklöppelten Scripte und Themes nicht nur für friendica.de entwerfe, sondern auch gerne mit anderen teile, kann man sich bei Interesse natürlich das Theme auch bei GitHub herunterladen und für sich selbst anpassen:

I was helping an open-source app become more #accessible yesterday and we ran into the problem that it looks like #screenReader Orca has a bit of a tendency to crash when exposed to webkitGTK applications. I've not done Desktop #linux for a long time and have no idea what the workarounds for this would be, does anyone know anyone who might know what's happening here? I recommend this in order to:
1. Avoid warnings about invalid escape sequences
2. Avoid accidentally using a real escape sequence
3. Clarify which strings are regular expressions
Raw strings double up backslashes, disallowing escape sequences.

@hi I have a medium sized Vultr server I host several things on. And I use it for #Friendica hosting. I've rarely had ram issues, sometimes had CPU issues, and disk has always been a problem - but I've been strict about keeping external attachments and posts and it has been ok.
