They are very corporate friendly. More precisely, #BigTech friendly.
In fact, they refused #SSPL when #Amazon was among their top sponsors and adopted the much more subversive #CAL when #HoloChain was among their top sponsors.
Furthermore, I partecipated to the discussions around the #OSAID some years ago and I've never met such a corrupt environment before. They used absurd tricks to please #Google and #Meta and not include "training data" among the requirements, so that they could easily break free of #AIAct.
So, they are not just gatekeepers, but basically unregistered BigTech lobbyists.

A thing that pisses me off about WordPress core blocks being static, and not dynamic, is them storing URLs – specifically in the Image block.
We iteratively worked through some different image sizes on a site this week, redefining pixel sizes for slugs registered with add_image_size(). I'd have hoped that would be a simple thing.
But the core/image block is a static block, and it records the URI for the selected image. All content using those images needed to be edited. 😠

Die meisten Menschen denken bei Datenschutz an den Schutz ihrer persönlichen Inhalte – Fotos, Nachrichten, private Dokumente. Aber .... niemand interessiert sich wirklich für Onkel Erwins Mallorca-Selfies von 2001. Diese Inhalte haben für Dritte praktisch keinen Wert.
