Why? The AI bubble. Most other current models have gone up, too, bar the 1GB/2GB variants - the Raspberry Pi 500+ is hit the hardest, going up a massive $150 since yesterday(!)
Three months ago, I reviewed the Raspberry Pi AI HAT+ 2 and said the 8GB of on-board RAM was "a red flag in terms of future pricing." Today it just went up by $50. And it was already overpriced.

Es gibt Monate, die sich nach Technik anfühlen. Der April gehört nicht dazu. Der April ist ein Monat der Resilienz. Ein Monat, in dem es nicht darum geht, das nächste Tool zu testen oder den hundertsten Workflow zu optimieren, sondern darum, eine Frage zu beantworten, die wir alle viel zu lange vor uns herschieben: Was passiert eigentlich, wenn plötzlich alles weg ist?
Diese Frage stellt sich niemand gerne. Sie ist unangenehm. Sie riecht nach Paranoia, nach dem Gefühl, man müsste sich auf Katastrophen vorbereiten, die wahrscheinlich nie eintreten werden. Aber dann gibt es diese Momente. Der Laptop startet eines Morgens einfach nicht mehr. Das Smartphone rutscht aus der Tasche und ist weg, vielleicht im Zug, vielleicht auf der Straße, vielleicht für immer. Ein Wasserschaden in der Wohnung macht nicht nur Möbel unbrauchbar, sondern auch das Gerät, auf dem alles war. Oder es trifft einen ganz anders: Diese eine Schadsoftware, die sich einschleicht und plötzlich jedes angeschlossene Laufwerk verschlüsselt, als wäre jemand gekommen und hätte einen Schlüssel herumgedreht, den nur er besitzt.

I knew the AGPL as a license that prohibits "storming off and making it a commercial offering".
The license that Redis and Elasticsearch should have used instead of fucking around with custom licenses when Amazon took their stuff, made paid offerings out of it and gave nothing back to them.
OnlyOffice's AGPL is limited by a phrase saying:
- You have to use the OnlyOffice logo if you fork it
...and another phrase that says
- You have no rights to use the OnlyOffice logo.
Apparently the AGPL inventor and the FSF side with Nextcloud on this.
OnlyOffice's AGPL isn't really opensource if it enforces crap like that.

Wenn man ein File mit risky local vars öffnet, warnt Emacs und fragt, ob man sie applizieren will.
