Я делаю голосовой AI-репетитор английского. Продукт живёт в трёх местах: веб-сайт speakwithai.pro , Telegram Mini App и Android-приложение в RuStore. У меня одна и та же база пользователей на NestJS + Postgres, и мне очень нужен ответ на вопрос: откуда вообще приходят люди? Yandex.Metrika и Google Analytics показывают только сайт. Telegram Mini App для них — чёрный ящик. Android-приложение через WebView — тоже. Из 6000 просмотров статьи на Habr я не мог сказать, сколько оттуда пришло в продукт, и через какой канал (TG, веб, app). Я не хотел тащить большую CDP вроде Mixpanel или Amplitude — для соло-разработчика это overkill. Вечером сел и сделал simplest-thing-that-could-possibly-work: одна колонка в БД, парсится при первом визите, читается на регистрации. 100 строк кода. Делюсь. Recently, the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) delivered a new ruling, Russmedia, that has massive implications for how platform regulation and liability work in the EU...
One of the main outcomes of the ruling is that a Romanian online marketplace “is required to implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures in order to prevent advertisements published there and containing sensitive data, in terms of Article 9(1) of that regulation, from being copied and unlawfully published on other websites.” ...
...the problem here is two-fold: First, the ruling is written in a way that can be generalised beyond only Romanian online market places, and into pretty much all platforms that fall under GDPR and handle social data. Secondly, copying and publishing data on other websites is exactly what federation is. The function of open social networking protocols like ActivityPub and atproto at their core is to have social data be copied and published on other websites.
This is an uhhh, slight bit of a problem, when European legal rulings make it very unclear if federation itself is in compliance with GDPR. ...

I noticed uGet hadn't been updated in multiple years, and I never really used the "categories" feature of it myself, so I had the idea of making my own very basic alternative. Thinking back to to 2007, it was the best of times for my creative relationship to tech. Nikon, Adobe, Apple, NEC, and even Epson, were all exploring (and sharing) fun technologies. OSX was coming into it's own. Aperture and Lightroom had different visions for digital photography. Nikon had great film scanners. Epson was tackling archival printing.
Today's Open Source, channels all that energy now. People creating and innovating for each other. Money hasn't ruined it.
