Yesterday I was able to produce Magic Smoke(tm) from a Raspberry Pi by connecting the power tot the 3.3v circuit instead of the 5v circuit.
I quicky detected something was wrong (Smoke does help) and pulled the power.
Totally assuming this was one more item for the Fried Hardware Memorial, I was quite surprised that it booted fine afterwards.
So something was Fried, but apparently not something I depend on when running the Pi.
