@m4 als Person die regelmäßig Trainings dazu gibt - alle Messenger haben Nachteile, für viele Threat Models ist Delta das richtige.
1. #Signal erlaubt nur 1 Identität und koppelt sie an die Handynummer
2. #Matrix hat keine selbstzerstörenden Nachrichten
3. Andere Messenger sind idR nicht cross-plattform und nutzer*innenfreundlich
4. #DeltaChat arbeitet an forward secrecy & post-quantum: https://autocrypt2.org
& wir nutzen Delta gern in Workshops, weil man easy den ganzen Raum onboarden kann.

I would be nice if there was a #forum component to newer chat room (e.g. #Discord or #Matrix). That way, conversations could be moved over to the forum, and slow, thoughtful conversations could be had there. Also great for parking stuff like memes, yet at the same time, referencing them in the chat room. Maybe the conversations and posts could easily be searched, too.
Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a platform that already has this.

Der Link im vorherigen Beitrag sowie Wikipedia schreiben, wire würde bei der Server-Infrastruktur auf ein Unternehmen aus Übersee setzen, das sich 'amazon' 🤔 nennt. Richtig unabhängig wäre das dann nicht, oder?
Warum verwendet die Bundeswehr den BwMessenger/Element auf Matrix-Basis, das man selbst hosten kann, während die Verwaltung auf wire und damit in zweiter Ebene auf Abhängigkeit geht?

@me me gusta #matrix y de hecho lo utilizo en mi día a día con familia y amigos. El problema que tienen los puentes es que rompen el cifrado punto a punto, por lo que tienes que confiar en quiensea que aloje el puente (o uno mismo, con los riesgos y el mantenimiento que supone).
Por lo que leo en https://matrix.org/blog/2024/09/whatsapp-dma/ (y es de hace unos años) no tiene pinta de que vaya a haber integración nativa entre ambas plataformas.
