The cat is out of the bag -- For people who still use #instagram , know that Meta is killing end-to-end encryption for messages on May 8th of this year.
Meta, in my opinion, wants to read everyone's chats, sell the data to advertisers (since revenue has been plummeting), feed it to their LLM products, and let state actors and other government entities in on the action, too.

I hate it.
