Now it's technically a video game, since you can lose and win in it.

Next up, in varying order

- Some sort of stamina system for punches and different effects for em also
- New animations, new models, overhaul on all the visuals
- Mechanics for having other rounds in a match, getting up from a knockout, knockout count down etc
- sound and music

Then I will have a demo for the basic feel of gameplay.

That's a lot of trees. But still not enough to look like a forest. Or maybe I just need bigger trees. So far I feel like I just made a big orchard. Also struggling to keep good performances. Nature is tough 😅

Visual fidelity in #Godot 4 is solved and it can easily compete with other engines easily.

The remaining gap is tooling/workflow from what I can see so far. But it is improving, every month, every release.

What a fantastic engine.

There's a few simple steps you can use to protect your Godot games against Reverse Engineering and Decompilation. I documented them in a new blog post:

I've done this for a few months now so here's my March recap of things I did!

This time I spent more time on exploring stuff like the parallax effect and complementary script thingies like the targeting on the beam.

There are some methods etc. in #godot that my brain just bounces right off of. I have to look them up over and over again and never seem to remember.

I just had a thought xD

What if I wrote a script that just has a bunch of methods that I can actually *remember* and all they do is do the thing I struggle to remember how to do?

As in, all a function would do is invoke another function.

That would be like two lines of code or whatever. Would that slow things down too much?
