Not happy with how things are spiralling out of control
Might have been better with Workers controlling what they do, rather than Workplace.
Or maybe some entirely different way
It can't be right that all citizens need to know about all Tasks, even if they aren't doing them.
But where do I store the data? Like the list of hungry houses that need Meals delivering to them? The recipe that Manufacturers use? It needs holding somewhere...

my thoughts on #godot after being trained in it:
-integrated docs are peak. i love that they open in the scripting window. very useful.
-lots of cool and very useful features that i wish unity came bundled with (like animated textures !!!!!!!!)
- pretty easy to make small games and prototypes, but a little difficult to make full-scale games in
- optimal workflow takes a bit to get into. even now i don't really bother with optimal workflow stuff.
- HATE !!!!!! that each node can only have one script. Component workflows FTW
- still don't like gdscript. and godot's integrated autocomplete tools don't work half the time or are too intrusive other times. i miss using visual studio community, but it's effectively discontinued and not available on linux anyway. :/
mixed bag ! but honestly, it's a mostly positive experience. i'll get used to things or bend the engine to my will, but out-of-the-box, it's pretty dang great. easy recommendation.
So players wanted to manually crouch in our game. And we did not know if hold crouch or toggle crouch would be more intuitive.
So we did the reasonable thing and our player controller just deals with both. If you hold the crouch input for no longer than half a second we assume you're probably a toggler.

Progress Report
Mostly Working.
Build system is ok. Need to add visual clues (e.g. red = can't build)
Workers generally do as they should. Minor Nav Glitches, and unreachable areas.
Train/Import/Export ok. Needs expanding.
Manufacturing chains need work (and UI to control). Recipe-changes need adding.
No hunger system yet. Probably "return home to eat. Reduce work/walk speed if hungry"
Building removal still a little glitchy.
