progress on seamless portals: collision

regression on seamless portals: visuals

i currently shut off the rendering because of an engine limitation. i hoped to fix that limitation with a gdextension but it turned that i would have to modify godots source and compile the whole engine, which i dont want to do...
at least ive seen that there are a couple issues and request asking for that feature that would enable true visually seamless portals

I made a big gamedesign decision.
The object for exchanging tiles is now also movable. This finally resolves one of the major issues players had in Obgoose. Now, the tile grid no longer collides with boundaries or the tile exchanger. 🟨🟨🟨🪿

So… ramble on with the building process. I've switched to some bigger rooms and give the 'highrise' a more housish look. Not quite sure about the graphic style, but we'll get there.

I'm trying Universal Animation Library, it's really nice for learning how to make character controls.

Such a good dog! You can’t pet him just yet, but at least you can take him for a walk and give him a treat #indiegame #gamedev #screenshotsaturday #godot #acorporatemachine #prototype #wackywipstuff

The #godot scene tree is held in RAM. So why can't we update it in a separate thread? The implications would be huge performance gains and a much more useful tree. #godotengine #gamedev

very early footage of what i'm working on for the yuri game jam

one of my goals this time is to make my code more modular so i can make parts that i can drag and drop into future godot projects. so i'll continue to take my time making the game (and not just because i'm in my take it easy period rn)

Once I finish what I'm doing, I will free the krita template as well as the blender file. I also want to do something with all of this in godot, and if it turns out right, I'll make it an add-on.
