I'm really happy with how this teleport effect turned out! It works to tie the scenes together to make it all feel more cohesive.

For runs, you'll teleport to each map's start zone either from the character select or the final node of the last map.

A little #Godot strangeness I stumbled over this week, as I tried to instantiate() a PackedScene expecting it to be a completely new instance. But of course(?) the resources inside are reused, as long as there is at least one reference of the PackedScene in the game... Hmm, I still can't decide if I see this as a bug.

Been a little while since posting an update on the game that I am working on. Polishing movement, added things like push, ledge hanging / climbing, additional attacks. Still have a bit more to do regarding movement and polish before moving on.

Want to go back to making my videogame, but I'm intimidated by the idea of state machines that don't have an immediate way to see their structure visually.

I'm using a FSM for #godot that works well, but it doesn't have any easy way to keep track of things visually, and I'm nervous about holding things in my head already, at like five nodes total. I am bad at documenting my own work and I'm already terrified when there'll be like dozens of complex nodes.

Trying to remember what other objects in the scene are is a stressful nightmare anyway.

It's possible I'm not cut out for making things.
