Getting a wander state setup and recorded a pretty funny collision bug with my NPCs lol
I know how to fix it, but wanted to share it anyway.

Getting there. Need to modernize the art for NEK-01 since it's using an old design.

OK, this definitely helps to make the big things feel more real. Needs some polish, of course, but it's not bad!

I'm one step closer to procedural generation of asteroid fields in my game.
The asteroid meshes were randomised with geometry nodes in Blender then batch exported to Godot. I used an import script to apply my material to all of the asteroids at once. I was not going to do that for 64 individual meshes. With random scaling and rotation when they're instanced in-game it'll hopefully introduce enough variety.
Pretty happy with this!

I'm blanking on the easy way to lerp our up vector towards a normal. I think I may just have to use roll rotation, which means calculating which way to roll and how much.
What a pain... #godot
better camera + UI rework!

Well, collision works now, including automatically putting your "hands" up. There's no reason to have them try to match the destination normal yet, since you don't have a body or bones yet, but they do HAVE that information.
If you're wondering, by far the easiest way to do this is to have RayCast3D objects on your player. Don't bother trying to work out how to cast them manually.

Aaannnd it's live! My game All Set and Done is now available in the App and Play Stores 🥳
It's a tile-matching game and is pretty challenging, but once you get into it it's pretty fun too (in my entirely non-biased opinion)!
Grab it here:
